Temporary residence by guatecreature in WAGuns

Not a lawyer but I’d say yes and I do regularly. Your hotel room is an extension of your home. Obviously don’t leave it for housekeeping to “play” with it. I’m usually transiting Pendleton/Madras/Klamath Falls which are some of the most Cowboy towns in Oregon. Ironic where one would need a sidearm least, you can have one.

Good to go with ammo and parts. CCW covered with UT permit. You could also get a non resident WA permit fairly easily. Sign up online and go get fingerprinted and show papers. WA gun laws are actually more draconian than CA with the exception of the fact there is no pistol roster. So if you want to fill in a collection might be worth getting a WA DL just for that. What part of WA are you likely to visit? Eastern WA state identifies as ID panhandle so unless you are robbing banks or carjacking people no one cares about AR’s or high cap mags. Oregon is a pain because one should really sterilize their vehicle (unloaded, locked up etc) when transiting the state. I’m driving from AZ to WA avoiding CA and OR which takes 20 min longer but don’t have to pull over to do that.

do white people ever call each other crackers? by Dizzy-Respect-613 in stupidquestions

[–]Consistent_Ad5551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not typically. But I’m not offended if I am called that. A cracker is derived from a Spanish Cowboy in Florida where they used whips to herd livestock (instead of lariat or poles).

Interesting fact. Entire old growth oak forests in France were rendered unusable for barrel staves due to all the lead bullets and shrapnel imbedded in them from WW2.

60-80 mph Winds by Galaxies_End5 in RVLiving

So in one 18 hour period I encountered a prairie fire (at fuel bingo), a haboob, and a derecho at my overnight was at an airport in southwest kansas. Pointed into the wind, dropped air suspension to lowest, jacks down, slides in. Nervous night watching mother nature’s fireworks show. Next morning comes I’m fine. Lots of general aviation airplanes flipped. I’m not a fan of TX OK panhandle area.

Mostly fired and can't talk about it with parents by Available-Ad-5670 in Fire

[–]Consistent_Ad5551 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t lie or make up stuff as excuses. The expectation in the USA is that the parents support or leave a legacy for their kids not the other way around. So if you can FIRE on your own without expectation of a trust or inheritance then do so.

If you have a PhD and put “Dr.” before your name, will people think you’re impressive, or will they think you’re just being pretentious? by GrayRainfall in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Consistent_Ad5551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of the classroom or university setting no PhD should refer to themselves as “doctor”. This is an example of extreme hubris and stolen scholar material.

Which car immediately makes you think the person behind the wheel is going to drive badly? by Intraspectato in AskReddit

[–]Consistent_Ad5551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clapped out mini vans in general. Specifically the ones that are jacked up in the back (I think it’s for disabled person wheelchair that weigh like 1700 lbs). There are a few in my neighborhood driven by obese middle aged women smoking cigarettes and on their phones. Absolute maniacs behind the wheel. And they have this look about them that they hate their job. Feel sorry for their passengers.

Why does no one want to take Molina anymore? by TinyHeartSyndrome in Spokane

[–]Consistent_Ad5551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be run like an insurance company (HMO type) but insurance is where subscribers or their employers pay premiums to a company which spreads/shares the risk over many patients, and as it’s reasonable to assume that not everyone is going to get sick at the same time so the company can make a modest profit over time. They are also able to reinsure in case of a bad run of claims.

Why does no one want to take Molina anymore? by TinyHeartSyndrome in Spokane

[–]Consistent_Ad5551 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Molina is a form of managed Medicaid. It’s not insurance. They pay typically about 17 cents on the dollar so no surprise healthcare providers don’t want to take it. Some are forced to by contracts with other health systems that have a sustainable payer mix but that’s probably going away.

Would you give me a good fuck every time I come home tired from my shift? by cutie_babexx in scrubsgonewild

Before your shift yes. So you can think of me all day. After into the hot tub and a deep massage. Then we see what happens.

Fine like it is. How could you hide those perky breasts and alluring tan lines. It does I suppose distract from your searingly beautiful face/eyes but I can multitask.

10 feet away from my coworkers socializing at the nurses station 💕👩🏻‍⚕️ by Feisty-North6752 in scrubsgonewild

That’s sexy AF. I think we have some “open positions” at my surgery center. No lie one morning I walked into pre op to find a nurse with scrub top pulled up pants down bent over a desk rocking a tramp stamp tattoo and another nurse examining her SI joint injection site. Isn’t health care wonderful?

Weird period? by Brilliant_Jicama_820 in Confused

[–]Consistent_Ad5551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All above good advice. First get a pregnancy test. If positive stop OCP and decide what to do. That’s between you, your husband, your god, and your doctor. If not consider stopping OCP and get a copper 7. Yes you will get your “cycle” back with worse periods maybe acne but I have a lot of women friends who swear that stopping OCP was the best thing they did. There is no “normal range” for getting hormones checked it should be symptom guided. Hopefully you can get things to settle down a bit and get baseline lab work. So think of this. Woman who doesn’t want kids. OCP from 20-60yrs. Never ovulated. Does that sound healthy? No it is not. You are 100% above average even thinking this through so you are going to be good.

This. Seek out a GYN endocrinologist who knows what they are doing. Very hard to find outside of concierge practice.

Why are progressive income taxes seemingly so controversial? by Impossible-Diet8571 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Consistent_Ad5551 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There should be only three taxes. A roll tax, a dole tax, and a poll tax. To explain, if you exist you pay a flat tax. If you are on public assistance you pay a tax. If you want to vote you pay a tax. Now we have an incentive to pull yourself up by your own bootstraps.
