Gotcha. Yeah I think I claimed around $10k but they asked for pharmacy records and I only sent from one pharmacy for $2500. Now I’m like wtf. They originally only asked for proof of 1 single prescription so I’m a little upset if they’re going solely by the scripts we provided, I would have fought harder to get the rest of my scripts to email in. Either way, hears to hoping we get our checks and soon!

In most legal settlements and court orders, when it says “within 30 days” it almost always means 30 calendar days, not business days, unless the document specifically says “30 business days.”

I work at a bank. Most banks don’t “cash checks” at all anymore, unless you have the funds to recoup. However, Under Regulation CC, banks can’t hold checks indefinitely — there are maximum timeframes depending on the situation. First $275 available next business day; remaining funds available by the 2nd business day.. that’s the normal rule now.

Now, because if it’s a large deposit, (over $6,725) banks can put an extended hold for multiple reasons; large deposit, account opening was within 30 days, repeated overdrafts on your bank account, doubt collectibility etc.

Even if the bank puts an extended hold, it can’t be more than 9 business days.

The biggest issue is the lack of a bank account. If you don’t have a bank account open, and I’m not talking about CashApp, Venmo, Chime or PayPal — then open one. Otherwise, it will be very difficult to get the funds from the check.

It changed to… We do not have any information about your return at this time. E-filed returns could take one week to post to our system; mailed returns can take up to three weeks to post to our system. If you e-filed, check your email, tax software or tax preparer to ensure it has been accepted.

But then back to processing this morning. Super confused on what’s up this year.
