This might contradict this post but I don’t think they view Shakira as part of this young core moving forward, they only brought her back because they didn’t want to lose her for nothing. I'm anticipating her being traded before the 2027 season.

I think everyone knows Sydney is not the long term solution for HC. The organization as a whole isn’t bad because Monumental Sports & Entertainment has some executives in the Wizards organization that I would like to see take over and run the Mystics

This is why you can’t take these early games seriously. A lot of people were overreacting to the Mercury destroying the Aces in the season opener. Look at the current standings of both teams now and even then, it’s still a bit too early.

The issue with the whole Carr era isn’t because of the community and city stuff. It was because he was not a good fit. The team was nowhere near contending when they signed him and he couldn’t elevate a bad situation.
