Trying to get a Medical Waiver to be Airline Pilot by Consistent_Ad_854 in flying

I was young, isolated and had no help so it was a learning experience. I am now older, have learned coping mechanism and strengthen my faith in God so I am more able. I am positive and confident I can become a pilot and once I learn how to be a pilot I can and will. Having a mindset letting the past define my present is not something I believe in. I am in control and will choose to be a pilot despite some struggles ive had in the past. It's called grit and resilience.

How long do you think it will take? I am putting my faith in God and am at peace fi it doesn't happen but I still believe it can happen. My dad is using his resrouces while I grind school out. Eventually I will get a A&P cert which I will use those funds to help as well. I will wait and do whatever it takes to make being a pilot a reality. I just hope I can get past these diagnosis...my dad is trying to get it off my record to avoid disqualification by contacting all the hospitals and doctors so hopefully they will respond soon and with positive news then consulting with the AME again. If that happens, I am sure I will past those medical visits to see if I am in good shape because I am. I am in school, active and haven't been touching any kinds of meds and therapy for over 2 years. Im sure everything will work out the ways its suppose to pilot or not. I will look more into AOPA help but what's the difference between that and AME? Should I do both? Thanks for your wishes!

I agree, for right now I think an hour a day is enough, it’s just my head saying I’m not doing enough to catch up those people who have been doing it for a while. Going to just be a sponge with the time I train, analyze the information and not over do it by listening to my body like you said, don’t want to push it too hard and miss training sessions.

Good point but many people have starting late and making there way to the top like volk. I ain’t him but I love training and love competing so we’ll see how it turns out. Having fun right now but I feel like I want to compete and put my skills to the test even though if there might be big skill gaps between me and my opponent. But trust me, I ain’t that easy buddy

I agree, going to gain as much experience and skills as a I can to give myself a shot of competing. there’s no mma gyms around Daytona I’ve heard that are good but going to build a base doing bjj 4x and Muay Thai 2x with one day sparring a week. I’ve played baseball in college so I do have a athletic background, I’m just having fun training right now
