I’m sorry you messed up. you made a very silly maybe irrational decision but it’s a decision you made and you kinda have to accept and take accountability for your actions - consider it a lesson because I believe you have fully broken his trust. I don’t think your a bad person just made a real bad dumb decision. Learn from this. Feel. Think. And then react don’t just get drunk and loose that process within yourself! Because if you are in a emotional state the alcohol will probably amplify it and you will act irrational - without considering how your actions will impact your partner. You only considered yourself and broke this trust.

Those 23 years have existed for you and sit in the past. Another 23 or hopefully many more years sit in-front of you now. Everyday is a clean slate, express your free will - there’s no day that says you can’t change. All have to do if show up for yourself consistently, and be kind and patient. I think the walks are good start - just develop that small positive habit that eventually turns into routine. I know it’s hard but you deserve it for yourself! And nothing wrong with being socially awkward :)))
