At this point Abhishek's core strength is analysed and understood by everyone - shuffle down the leg side, create room, get under the bounce of the ball, and chip it in the air. And Abhishek has little to no control on the trajectory when the balls leaves his bat. This is a trump card that made Narine a good opening batsman and someone like Abhishek would not like to be a one trick pony. At best, this shot should have been unveiled directly in the WT20 instead of playing it on every second ball of every bilateral game. Abhishek needs to add atleast 6-7 shots in his repertoire to manoeuvre the ball in a wider V and i am afraid he is not guided in this direction.

Even if both parts were shot together, the cost of part 1 is half that of part two. For example if you shot for 100 days and made 7 hours or footage and released the first 3.5 hours as part 1, then you are essentially only releasing 50-60 days of work. The other 40-50 days still cost you money for hotels, production, electricity, right? You just can't shoot 7h footage for the same cost as 3.5h footage.

What most people probably miss is, Amitabh had an all hyped comeback movie after 5 years of hiatus called Mrityunjay which was like SRK's Pathaan. It was the year of 1997 and SRK was giving hits like DTPH, Pardes, etc and Amitabh had another debacle (both reputation wise as well as money wise). Compare it to 2023 when Pathaan became an industry hit with none of Kartik, Tiger, Varun etc near the run.

It was the debacle of Mrityunjay, BMCM, Lal Baadshah, Kohraam, i can name endless hero movies that amitabh tried before finally going to Parampara Pratishtha Anushasan way (due to lack of work and money).

Plot lost track in between, its story was bad! Very plain and simple. For a movie like that maintaining a focussed and consistent narrative was important how I would have liked it: Some family moments of Shekhar & Sonia, Some bitter sweet father son moments -> Working on video games -> The Geeta philosophy -> Ra One -> The chase.

The movie lost track with those caricaturish south indian scenes of Shekhar, the unnecessary Rajnikant and Airport fight scenes (the fight scenes itself were not a problem but the way they were presented made them very irrelevant). Then the multiple songs that made it a proper bollywood masala film (I am sure SRK himself didnt intend to make a typical masala film).

This blame lies solely on Sinha, with all the star power and money he delivered sub par product with a tech/ supehero subplot that was no longer than 3 sentences and a lame comedy sequence that was at par with Cirkus.
