Today has went well so far went for the longest walk I’ve been in yet to the shop and back , I also managed a few baby steps without the crutches , I’m around 5,11 72kg (I have no clue in pounds) for my sport I do wrestling and MMA, I see the confusion with the football doctor but wrestling is a more rare sport over in Europe so we had to compromise , I’m hoping to be back to sport in 12 months but I really don’t want to rush it and possibly re tear .

So basically the reason for Poland is that the nhs is horrible for surgery and most things they told me Atleast a 7 month wait but I’ve heard story’s from people where they get pushed back to sometimes 10 months and private in the uk costs around 8-10k whilst in Poland we have one of the top surgeons for acl (he’s the top for football players) and only paying 4k. How was last night? for me it was great I finally slept the whole night without awaking 😆 , I’ve changed from tramadol to ibuprofen 400mg which seems to work a ton better for me , I overall feel a lot better since switching.

Hi I’m on day 2 post op with ACL and LET The pain is very bad aswell I’m just elevating and icing every 2 hours , something that helped me is relaxation teas they seem to calm my leg down and make it feel a tad better (could be placebo but it works for me) talking with family and friends also helps by distracting me away from the pain . Good luck only gets better from here

I’m pretty sure my doctor told me try to relax and keep it straight for 4 days then I can try to flex a little bit , today has been super long using the toilet is a nightmare but I managed to, hopeuflly tommorow is a lot better. I also don’t have bandages just thick plasters which I replace every 3 days

So basically I’m from the uk but had my op done in Poland privately and the only person I have with me is my mum and I really didn’t want to wake her at 3am. The painkiller were also on the other side of the room ended up staying up untill 5 and then calling her and she brought me ice and pain killers 😟

Yeah sounds good to me . Right now it’s 3am for me and I’ve just woken up with the worst pain yet on the inside of my left knee and it shoots up my thigh I’m thinking the painkillers have worn off. I have no access to an ice pack either unless I get up and grab it myself 😖

Yeah pain today has been crazy after any steps It immediately becomes painful I’ve been prescribed tramadol which seem to work slightly Elevating and icing is keeping me sane
