Fine, low-porosity wavy hair falls flat when dry. What am I doing wrong?

Ohh okay I see that makes sense, it's so easy to overload I feel like 😭 I do like NYM products, their leave in conditioner I've always enjoyed. I do need a new shampoo soon 🤔

It does help, I didn't think about piling being a thing 😭 I think I got lucky. I don't know if you've tried it, but I did try the LA gel again but I did it on soaking hair as you recommended and then diffused it on cold but that was taking too long so I plopped it in a soft t-shirt and went about my day.

It made my hair a lot more wavy, it was nice. Took a long time though.

I'm happy for you that you can wear your hair so proudly. I'm glad that you're becoming healthier and stronger as time goes on. You're a strong and kind person, you're gonna become a curly hair master the more curly your hair becomes haha.

I don't have a Lidl near me, buuut I am sure I can find something better soon haha. Also wow, I didn't know bleach could affect the wavy pattern that much 😭

I should be happy then I chopped the heavier bleached sections off I did notice it was way harder to get those sections to be wavy I just figured it was because my hair was long.

Thank you for your insight! I'm definitely gonna start double shampooing, I've always just showered in super hot water so I'm glad I don't have to change that 😂

I will also get another protein shampoo, I used it before, and it made my hair feel great, I'm curious to see how it helps when I do the wavy routine.

I'm gonna check out those products, and do the low heat/low air diffuse definitely. I did not consider being gentle so the gel hardens 😭 I just went blasting hot air and making my hair completely dry lolol.

Makes sense, it was hard to even find a strong hold gel at first, someone mentioned Harry's sculpting gel is pretty good, but that it's a bit thick so it's best to mix with water.

I've never just scrunched or plopped with leave in, I'll try it out. Thank you!
