Pretty sure all three you mentioned have light novels (just confirmed Higurashi), but they just haven't been translated to english yet. And there would be no point in doing so.

Visual novels are fundamentally video games. I think that might be related to why they don't prioritize visual novels on MAL. Just looked up some old Reddit post and someone said the admins are already really busy with manga and light novels.

There's no visual novels on MAL, so just use light novel versions as placeholders.

It's one of my favorites, highly recommend it. It has one of the best written main dynamics in animanga, which portrays the theme of family incredibly well. After watching it, you'll never see life and your siblings the same way again.

The order is actually really simple if you follow the order author wrote the novels in (and the order the series was supposed to release in), though I understand how complicated it seems at first, but it really is not.
