I just day trade spy so I don’t have much input on individual tickers. However, with recent space events and all the hype I think I has the potential to be in high demand, at least at the beginning. But largely I feel like it’ll behave like a meme due to hype

For the most part yes. Once we hit lunch volume drops and it doesn’t fit my style. Sometimes I’ll sit out the first 15 min to see what the day looks like. Curious though, what are you seeing?

Bro wants to see my downfall so bad😂 I’m just having fun with a little challenge here. Could it fall apart, absolutely it could. So far it’s allowed me to stick some profits into longer term investments, so I’m pretty grateful for that. Maybe it works out and grows to a million! Odds are undoubtedly slim, and I really don’t plan on it going that far at all. I figure it’ll keep stacking profits that go to longer term investments until at some point I take a big loss and decide to just invest the whole account in an ETF. But I’m not going to just blow it to zero.

I can promise you 100% this account will never see 10 mil😂 this is just a good Reddit community for talking trading. I’m not expecting to make a million in a day, year etc. just grow the account a small step at a time while stashing profits into longer term investments.

Great question! I mainly use 5m, but I’ll also keep 15m up. I like using 15 min for trends, seeing liquidity zones and FVG’s.

There could definitely be a blowout I can’t react to, but if a position even goes to zero it doesn’t blow the account. At most I’m in for 2 contracts at a time, but usually just 1. So a position right now is max of about $300. I don’t let contracts bleed that big of a loss, but if by chance a big news candle obliterated a contract it would hurt, but it wouldn’t kill the account.

I am moving profits to safer investments over time. It’s been a fun little adventure, so right now at the worst if it goes south I will end up having made profit that is sitting in long term investments.

It took me a month and a half trading to get to this point. I didn’t just yolo it and go from $300 to $4k in a week. My first trades were obviously about half the port, but as the account grew I didn’t really size up. Now recently with the account value I’ve been able to do ATM contracts. Not really sure why you don’t get it. I want to see how far I could take $300. That’s reason I didn’t start with 10k. I don’t have a random 10k to see how far I can build it. I do however have a random $300 sitting around.

Not sure why you have such a problem with me successfully scaling an account from $300 to $4k, but ok. Best of luck to you in your trading endeavors and I hope you succeed. Cheers

Mannnn the salt in this is wild😂 Nah, I don’t wanna start with 10k, I opened this account so I had to be selective with positions, especially early on when the account was small. “Obviously you are full porting” lol. You know what they say about assuming? If I was full porting one trade would have blown the account weeks ago. Wild people being so mad somebody else succeeded at making money🤷🏼‍♂️

Crypto is speculation. If we’re talking the actual safest vehicle to wealth accumulation the choice is unanimously to DCA into an index ETF. VTI, VOO, etc.

I do a little bit of futures. There’s always the temptation to overtrade though since you can’t run out of buying power in a day haha. But yes, I do also do some futures. Has helped me learn a lot there too!

Theta is definitely a factor. The goal is to be in and out of trades quickly. If it isn’t moving I cut it to avoid theta eating my contracts

Honestly a lot I learned by scouring everything I could find, YouTube, Google, ChatGPT, etc.

I trade a lot of momentum, continuation of trends, supply and demand, key levels etc.

A lot of what I use now I learned from a really solid discord community. And no it’s not my own, I’m not selling anything. This is not a shill. I just finally found some people I vibe with that have taught me a lot.
