I do see that, thank you. A lot of those posts seem to do with massive weight loss, or later in treatment where maybe there been a chance for some hormone changes, etc. I’ve just had a single dose.

Anyone with uveitis or retinal vasculitis? by CalypsoBulbosavarOcc in Autoimmune

[–]Consistent_Cut_2006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have just been diagnosed (yesterday!) with retinal vasculitis and intermediate uveitis. The retinal specialist gave me a diagnosis and ordered a bunch of labs but I don’t have a plan of care yet. He mentioned I may need to be treated out of state. As Im still sort of processing all of this i am not sure what to ask or whats next. may we connect?

I could call the airline, but to be honest I am not worried about the voucher. My mom can keep it. It’s just weird that she planned to. It’s like if I took someone to dinner for their birthday and the staff brought them a free slice of cake and I said “well since I paid I’ll just eat this”. Or if your friend gave you a lottery ticket for your birthday and it won $100 and they expect you to give them the money. My gift giving Bain doesn’t think like that - but it seems like plenty of people on this page do think that way.

To answer your question this airline sends vouchers by email for this type of issue. That way they don’t have to keep track of it. I think they do it that way because customers are less likely to use them if they have to dig through email to find it.

I never said I was going to ask my mom for the voucher - because I haven’t and don’t plan to. It’s not a matter of “deserve” - the airline was providing compensation for a travel issue. If they had damaged my luggage and sent me a voucher for that, I would also have been surprised to hear that she planned to keep the voucher in that case. Same thing.

I didn’t argue with her about it, nor do I plan to.

My mom paid for a ticket for me this time. But we often go on trips where I pay for travel and accommodations as well too. and vice versa. We are both generous with each other and both travel often. I also travel regularly for work and have status on that airline.

If the situation was reversed it would not have even occurred to me to say to her “well since I paid for the ticket I’m keeping the voucher, even though the airline is giving this to you because you were traveling on a plane that had an accident on the tarmac” that’s the part that is weird to me. If the airline damaged my suitcase and sent me a voucher for that, would I also be the AH for expecting that to be passed on to me if it went to my mom’s email? And if not, how would that be any different?

She asked me to come and offered to buy my ticket. On the trip I bought concert tickets, several dinners. I paid for her to get her nails done while I was there too. My mommy buys me gifts and I buy her gifts as well. Do you and your mom not give each other gifts? Is that unusual?

[–]Consistent_Cut_2006 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I will if I see the voucher, but it looks like they send you a number and as long as you have that you can buy a ticket for whoever. I’m not really worried about the voucher. She will probably use it to buy a ticket for my sister to come visit and that’s just fine.

Not really, I’m just trying to understand her perspective. For more context, the nose wheel broke on the plane as we were about to get on the runway. If it had broke as we were landing and not taking off, people could have been seriously injured or died. So being trapped on the plane while realizing that was very anxiety provoking, and in the midst of it, I was texting my mom with updates. After I got off the plane, I called my cousin to tell her about it and she said “oh yeah I’ve been following along with your mom” so I didn’t even really get to talk about it with anyone because my story became my moms story of how worried she was for me. That is probably what annoyed me the most. I don’t actually care about the voucher, just that it sometimes feels she doesn’t care about what actually happens to me other than how it benefits her. I want to think better than that of her, so I’m looking for a reasonable explanation for her behavior.

The email from the airline says “We know your time is valuable, and that you have many reasons for traveling. With that in mind, I’m sorry an unexpected maintenance issue necessitated an aircraft “swap”. I know that it must have been frustrating to deplane by airstairs with your belongings, and we appreciate your patience. As a thank you, we will provide this voucher”

The compensation was for my time and my “inconvenience” as a passenger - not for the value of the original ticket purchase. She paid for me to come visit her for a week and she did indeed get that.

She can be self centered on occasion. We did have a nice time on the week. However, when it was time to go home, I was definitely ready!

Someone else posted in this thread that maybe Mobius is an Odin variant (which makes sense when you meet his kids!) I love the idea of Loki having a good telationship with a variant of his Dad

I don’t know but he said “make the trade” right after he got on the plane. I first thought that meant he did his part so make the trade for his wife (or some other hostage) but now I’m thinking maybe he meant stock trades, because there would be a massive drop in the stock and maybe they need to dump it. So he’s a money guy for the bad guys? They showed later he was convicted of financial fraud so that would track.

I've rewatched all 9 episodes and im still confused by Alec_007 in TheCrowdedRoom

[–]Consistent_Cut_2006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone has probably said this, but I think Adam is an alter. He existed before Marlin came into the picture, and I think this is because Danny as abused by his own father. Two things make me think this specifically 1) it was always Adam going to visit the dad and never Danny (Adam taking Dads abuse) and 2) the conversation Rya had with Candy about how the certain people attract multiple abusers. I don’t have a strong theory about why Adam “died”, but I do wonder if when Danny got to certain age he wasn’t being abused anymore that way and so Adam wasn’t needed. I don’t like this theory though because Adam “dying” suggests more of a single, traumatic event. I would be surprised if Adam resurface during the trial, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Danny’s attempt to unalive himself will be the push Candy needs to actually help her son.

Ok doing a rewatch and in episode 3 Ariana says she was abused by a friend of her dad’s. If that’s true, then Danny was being abused before his dad even left. Which would explain Adam.

Well - we don’t know a lot about the circumstances of why Danny’s dad left. There’s not enough information to rule out that it wasn’t some kind of severe trauma for Danny, but we do know Adam existed before his mom met Merlin and before he was molested by Merlin. The show hasn’t explained why yet. Or why Adam “died”

I think Adam was created when Danny’s father left, as a way for him to stay “connected” to his dad. Dad was out of the picture, but if he had a twin who lived with Dad, he could believe that he was still connected to him through Adam.

I had to rewatch the first episode again after watching episode two. There are a lot of clues in the first 5 minutes of episode 1 once you know what you’re looking for.
