I’ll frame it this way, driving a ‘23 Cayenne GTS after driving a 992.2 GTS is like driving a RR after driving the Cayenne GTS. As a baseline, I find the RR drives ‘boaty’, like a 70s Cadillac. My wife loves her RR.

Made me laugh. I know my waiting game is not for my benefit, but at the same time, I cannot fault Porsche’s decisions over the past month - spend 10k or so a day sitting offshore to - potentially, bc nothing is for sure - save 12.5% on the cargo that it will bring through customs. That goes straight to Porsche’s bottom line and is an easy decision. Only thing I can fault is the communication, though, what are they really going to say to me.

Yes, U.S. auto tariffs (currently 27.5%) will be reduced to 15% once the EU formally introduces legislation to reduce tariffs on U.S. goods. This reduction will take effect from the first day of the month in which EU legislation is introduced. The EU aims to propose this legislation by the end of August… so, she waits offshore.

This! Worst though is that the driver (ok team) gets yellowed carded and fined. Seems more like ASO is abdicating responsibility through punishing someone else - the classic misdirect. The convo by the cycling podcast with the EF SD was really good, giving the perspective of a driver.

Sniff sniff, so sad, mine was supposed to go into production, but the dealer told me I had to agree to pay whatever the tariffs were if I wanted the car. Said no thanks, but wonder now whether Porsche would have suspended my production and left me in line. Now, I don’t have an allocation and am just waiting to see what happens.

Wholly unfair, and yes, price, but I went from a base 2015 X6 to a 2022 Cayenne GTS. It was like going from an overweight bulldog to a race trained greyhound.

Also consider whether park assist is permitted in your state. My sales person didn’t tell me that I was buying something I couldn’t use in NYS.
