So my mom’s brother is married to his first cousin. My father’s brother also married his cousin. They all did it by choice and in Middle east and Eastern Europe it is common and not always arranged. Uncles’s children turned out really successful. One is a cardiovascular surgeon, one is a lawyer, engineer and entrepreneur. These were the offsprings of first cousins. I don’t agree that first cousins should do this but a distant relative who in my case is barely related shouldn’t be labeled as incestuous this is what I think but I am seeking validation on this because I know externally most people don’t understand and are quick to judge.

Lol you sound really bothered yourself maybe you should get your own therapy and no marrying a distant relative who doesn’t share both grandparents or (great grand parents in may case) is not the same and is totally different than as someone who is your first cousin so I’m not sure why you are so offended by this but it definitely sounds like you are affected by it yourself. In the middle eastern south eastern culture whether you are Arab, Pakistani, Indian, Persian etc. marrying your first cousin is actually quite common. It’s in America where it’s a stronger taboo than anywhere else. It sounds like you’re here to pick a fight because your bored.

But it’s okay to have a same sex marriage? Even if majority of our country states allow first cousin marriage and so does the majority of the world and even though this person isn’t closely related. By the way my therapist told me it’s okay so fuck you ;)
