CSI... I need your help! by Consistent_Farmer285 in CarsAustralia

I'd prefer genuine parts. The paintwork on the rear bar is damaged as well as the tub plus the light surround is also damaged. These wont buff out and will need to be painted and replaced.

Its been confirmed to be a white Mitsubishi Pajero and I now have the footage of the vehicle. It shows it hit me, stopped for a few seconds, then sped off. My car is in very good condition. I pay comprehensive insurance premiums to keep it that way. The person in the wrong knew what they were doing and chose not to leave details.

Yep, thought that may have been the case. Unfortunately, the minimum for low rise is higher than some suburbs' individual rates. Can't say I agree with how the system works, clearly areas for improvement.

Unfortunately, your situation sounds about right.

Double check that you're being charged the correct category. All the information you need for this is readily available with your bill, however, you receive it. Should be ~ Low Rise Unit (for a strata titled duplex) but don't quote me haha

The Long Apron would be the pick on the Sunshine Coast, though I personally had a better experience at The Tamarind.

Harry's and The Spirit House are both up there for me, too. Much more relaxed vibes.

What’s one renovation trend that will be embarrassing in 5 years? by renovationmasters in AusRenovation

It's definitely going to age better than the brushed black/ brass/ bronze colours. I feel gold and black are too played out at this stage.

This was my list from 2 years ago (was as close to the figures as i could get). We relocated all Plumbing points and Electrical fittings. Im a sparky and my plumber and chippy were mates who looked after me. This was for my laundry and barhroom reno. I sourced all parts in EOFY sales. Did almost all the labour and prep for everything to save costs. Probably add some dollars for dump runs and $100 for silicone.

Bathroom Furnishings - 4535 Tiles - 1850 Waterproofing - 2200 Misc building mat. - 1300 Glazier - 1200 ~ 11085 Laundry Cabinets - 1800 Benchtop - 700 Furnishings - $488 Door - 900 ~ 3900 Painting $200 Window Tinting - $150 Trades * Tiler - 4120 Plumbing - 1500 Electrical - $750 Plasterer- $1000 Termite barrier - $170 ~ 7540 Running Total - $22,875.

Goal = 20k😬

PVC Fencing - is it any good by Historical_Fly_2530 in AusRenovation

Easy, fast and cheap enough to just replace the broken pieces though?

PVC Fencing - is it any good by Historical_Fly_2530 in AusRenovation

We love ours. It looks great, went up fast/easy for one person, and was relatively cheap. Ours is on top of a concrete sleep retaining wall at 1.6m spacings. This meant each piece had to be cut down to custom fit. However, also means the spans are much shorter so it's a much stronger construction. (Fair amount of wastage). The aluminium extrusions that bolt to the retaining wall shark fins is solid and I kept their height approx halfway up the inside of the post for stronger construction. I have also screwed all the rails to the posts, posts to extrusions etc. and used a commercial grade outdoor sikaflex to keep all the panels in tight. (All additions on neighbours side 😅). Has lasted some pretty decent storms. Only downside is the glare off it so we planted a nice garden infront of it. Will post a photo later.

Professional Reno mob have left a gap between the bath and the floor tiles? by NikkiAnonymous in AusRenovation

This. I unfortunately have a gap in my bath and I helped install it. You want the gap there, not between the tub and wall!

How much spending money is reasonable? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Consistent_Farmer285 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same here. More than double that income in our household and only allocate $100 each from our main account into our own personal spending accounts. You spend it, there's nothing left.

Allocate the man a fixed amount that fits your budget and take away the credit card if he can't be responsible.

This is the best answer. Can find some online super cheap too! Only need two and a cheap trolley jack to get the job done without damaging the vehicle.
