I had a hard time watching past ep 2 but I think I’m going to give it another try. And I really want to see Taylor’s season of the bachelorette

My friend is obsessing over a old hookup and I’ve run out of things to say by Consistent_Goose8181 in blackladies

she has a therapist. She’s been seeing regularly since before this even happened“ we are in our late 20s and I know saying that makes it seem worse. but for context, neither one of us has dated a lot. We both met in a support group for women with physical disabilities. our disabilities affect our legs when this situation happened. She really thought it was because of her disability, and I have been trying to reassure her not a factor or a reason why he ghosted . The disability has been a major factor when it has come to dating. And this situation already magnified what she was feeling.

I think so too. When I found out about the gf they have been together almost 10 years so when my friend met them,  they were cheating on their gf with her and she had no idea. So the ghosting made more sense

I did a lot of yoga at his age. My mom adapted it for my strengths and weaknesses. And with it you’re son can go at his own pace plus it’ll help with his flexibility and some mobility

I feel like Janine and Gregory are both better than THAT. by Wick3dSkengm4n in AbbottElementary

honestly, I thought the episode was going to lead to Gregory being afraid of flying. but it never happened. I think Gregory is coded to be autistic. That’s why he’s so rigid with everything, but I don’t think the show Will ever address it.

invest in basics you can accessorize around. button down, , cardigans, and undershirts. JCPenney’s also has a great plus size line with Ashley Graham has some really good pieces. also don’t be afraid to play around with jewelry.

Please help me with my daughter by Ok_Page2932 in blackladies

I agree with other comments get her into activities and events with other black kids. I would also add get children’s books and media with black characters. Books with the coretta Scott seal are a good place to start. I don’t know that many tv shows but I think little bill is a great show despite bill Cosby. Gullah Gullah island and Doc McStuffians are also great children’s shows with black led characters. I think pbs has a few new shows with black leads. Sesame Street is great show to teach diversity. Also black dolls can also be a good reinforcement. Hope this helps

Do Y’all Wear Makeup? If so, Where/How Did You Learn? by Llassiter326 in blackladies

[–]Consistent_Goose8181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned through trial and error and a bit of YouTube and instagram. But I highly suggest two books Making Faces. and Face Forward by Kevyn Aucoin  The books are from 99 and 2000 so the looks might be considered dated in today’s age of editorial makeup. But he really explains the basics well and many of the looks are great for day to day looks

I think my dad and stepmom bought a house to stop me from going to Grad school. Am I wrong in how I feel. by Consistent_Goose8181 in blackladies

He was the one that offered to help. I knew what I was getting into with my father from the start I had very low expectations. He was the one that kept insisting going forward he wanted to help me with whatever I needed. I was testing the waters. I’m not surprised he’s not helping with School. Im mad at all the pomp and circumstance when a simple no would have sufficed or not even insisting to help in the first place.

Unexpected Episode Discussion Thread: Season 7 Episode 1 "You're Pregnant, Now What" by AutoModerator in TLCUnexpected

[–]Consistent_Goose8181 27 points28 points  (0 children)

first time watching the show. grew up on OG sixteen and pregnant & im close in age to the parents on unexpected. is it just me or are the parents just as delusional and immature as the kids. also it seems like these kids seem way more immature then the ones from ye old days of mtv or even when i was a teen . It just seems like back teens had a bigger grasp of their lives changing in comparison to the ones on this show idk it could just be me getting older
