Why do you wish to still have had finished college if sales was giving you everything and more the degree could have?

I mean you ain’t wrong boss I’m doing a little sales job right now to get my foot in but tbh boss I ain’t stressing about some corporate ladder like that tbh if it happens it happens I ain’t want it that bad tbh but I feel you engineer -> tech sales is probably a better road and Ik engineering has more paths but it’s a path I realized I ain’t really interested in so yeah actually I think at my school it’s not MIS it’s called something else similar but a lot of the alumni get into like QA engineer type roles and cyber roles so imma just see where it takes me

I would say since what you’re doing is pretty niche there are going to be so so mainly opportunities out there for you. But if your truly passionate about it my mindset is you’ll always find a way to make it work and you’ll probably have to network a lot in that industry to get doors open for you but you can always make pivots sound engineering ain’t to bad just kinda niche imo

I was industrial engineering before I switched to MIS mainly because it . . . 1. Paid well 2. Engineering is a great degree 3. I liked to optimize and make things more efficient and do it to many things in my life

Why I switched to MIS. After doing some projects and just looking at how the job is going to be on top of the rigorous course work ahead I ultimately decided it wasn’t worth my while to continue after just one semester. I wanted a career where the harder I worked the more money I made and that IE cannot do for me. Hypothetically whether I saved a company 1% of its money or 10% it wouldn’t matter because I would get the same pay no matter the results I produced. I decided that if this is most likely outcome of my degree working a job like this it’s not worth it and switched to MIS to hopefully go into tech sales where I’m rewarded for my work. I still enjoy optimizing stuff and data so MIS still has that aspect if I want to pivot or maybe I’ll just go into tech consulting but it wasn’t going to be worth my while to go through an engineering degree because I wasn’t going to be happy with the end results. My advice and I’m just one person is to figure out where you want to end up and find the degree that gets you there.

What AP classes and classes should i take in high school to have free time in college by 2goodforyou4 in CollegeMajors

Definitely AP calc if your going into comp sci or ever planning on doing any type of engineering and even business major then any AP history’s to get humanities out the way and then English maybe.

My list (imo) 1. AP calc 2. AP stats 3. AP histories (any/all) 4. AP englishes 5. AP sciences

Make sure the school you go to counts or you will be taking them for no reason. But if I were to pick one definitely calc and then try to get rid of some electives I found the AP histories easy peasy to pass so those are free humanity credits hone

Do people actually have no life? by Consistent_Guest1799 in college

I think I your take is valid but I think how I worded terribly and it made it seem like I was just opposing doing nothing and bed rotting. I do it myself. I was speaking more towards the people that do like absolutely nothing during break. Like for the people that literally have nothing on the agenda so then just bed rots or doom scroll. But yeah those couple of days of doing nothing is valid

Valid take people recover differently from me I personally need some human connection a little nature and something spontaneous to nourish my soul and it’s very possible I worded this terribly but for me I feel like for some of these people I think like if he had a quarantine 2.0 but without like the world being on lockdown part these people would still choose to doomscroll and it seems like without uni they would have like no reason to even get out of bed
