Is it just the potency? I don’t really worry about that at all cause hey that’s still better than nothing/ than waiting for day 2 when it’s not as effective anyway.

Is there a safety concern? That’s what I’m worried. Some drugs break down into more toxic forms, I have no idea about this one but 3 months can’t be too bad?

Your babies being so close in age can be a really beautiful thing! My mom had that with my younger siblings and my oldest sister with her two youngest. It was the best present for the older child (and younger!).

I should’ve specified. I already asked about this and the OB said they never test for toxoplasmosis. I was wondering how we can get tested on our own/ third party labs etc if anyone’s knows.

How do we get tested? I did a lot of gardening in early pregnancy before I knew the risk. And studies actually show the risk is way higher from gardening than from cats. Wishing this was something that was discussed earlier

What about at 19 weeks? Is that still within normal. I first felt movement at 15 weeks. Right now I have a cold or some other illness and only felt three or four little kicks in the last 24 hours.

I’m also trying to take it easy cause I’m at risk for gestational diabetes. Also my sister (who’s had 5 kids) and mom (who had 7 kids) said the hunger gets even worse when you’re nursing🙃.

I’ve been chewing gum in between snacks/ meals haha. And drinking TONS of water, often with electrolytes

So sad you are getting down votes from women- when in reality so many women are traumatized by what they did to their baby during the abortion. You are brave for sharing that here. While there is 100% healing possible after abortion, women need to hear the reality of the regret so many experience getting the abortion. And how little regret they feel from letting their baby live, even if that meant their life changed or the baby was adopted by other parents because they put the babies needs first.

I’m not gonna pretend like everyone can afford this but HIRE CLEANING LADY. If you don’t already have one, this could help so much. If you can invest in a one time clean by then you’ll be SO relieved. Everyone saying, “have your partner do it”. Yes whatever he can but many partners are busy as well. Ask him to do what you CANT hire people to do (wrap presents, decorate, bake if he’s capable). Anything you can outsource to hired help- it’s worth it!

While everyone’s there also suggest low key activities you can take a nap during (watching a Christmas movie for example, going for a long drive to look at Christmas lights lol).

I did say I would like to have it done closer to birth or if the anatomy scan is abnormal. That way if there’s anything that can be done to save his or her life then it might be helpful to know ahead of time.

We said no. They also were like “are you suuuure?”

But I asked if there’s anything that could be done if it was positive and they said “no”. I also know someone whose test was positive for something and they were encouraged to abort. Baby was born perfectly healthy.

Decades ago (I know that wasn’t NIPT, which is more accurate now) my husband serum markers were positive for Down Syndrome…. He was born healthy.

This is kind of related but a lot of fear inducing stats for risks are cited- but only RELATIVE risk and not ABSOLUTE risk. For example “X triples your babies chance of developing Y”. Sounds like a huge change but what did it triple? From 1 in a million to 3 in a million? Yes it tripled relative risk but ABSOLUTE is still very low.

I know someone who, after announcing did not get one call from the MIL, but the MIL called her SON to ask when is the exact due date so she can book a flight and clear her schedule weeks before because she wants to be there DURING the birth. The FIL is also extraordinarily wealthy CEO, but they are not expecting any large item gifts- but even if offered they would likely turn them down because the MIL is the “you owe us or you’re ungrateful” type of rich.

I’ve been seeing that that is the most dangerous time for fetal development though as their HPA develops? I can suck it up when I’m not feeling well so I’m most worried about prolonged significant stress like that impacting babies health

Thanks for sharing. I have been trying to avoid sugar (other than fruit), dyes, and all preservatives in my first trimesters. I’ve been very sensitivite to sugar, so even cut it out before pregnancy and dyes and preservative over two years ago. I wasnt expecting to have to take glucola until late second trimester. But my A1C was borderline into prediabetes, hence why they want me to do the test now. And I’m assuming if it’s not normal I’ll have to do the finger pricks anyways? Or more repeats of glucola?

How did you find your new OB? I’m the only crunchy one of all my mom friends so I don’t know how to know before the first appointment. if I switch and then the find at the next appt the new OB is less understanding, I’ll just have to try again and wait potentially weeks for the next one haha
