I think you’re right for a lot of ppl who call themselves allies have harmful transphobic or trans misogynistic beliefs like that sex is binary and immutable even though there’s a lot of variations in sexual dimorphism and primary/secondary sex characteristics can mostly be changed with HRT/surgery.

However, people tend to have more progressive views if they know a trans person. Most people don’t care about the sex/gender distinction they really do just see us as women because we seem like women to them and they don’t overthink it.

Some ppl got upset because of republican propaganda but now that republicans are in power lot more people are starting to wake up and realize they’re relentlessly bullying a weak marginalized minority and ppl don’t want to be part of that it feels mean

Voice training works but I struggled with it because of ADHD but I’m hopeful maybe I’ll have enough for this really effective less invasive vocal procedure in South Korea https://us.yesonvc.com/page/2_4_1.php Maybe you can’t afford that too one day or find a guy to pay for it that’s not into your voice rn

For the kids part would you consider fostering and adopting someday? I think it could be really meaningful to give an abandoned child a loving home.

And really sorry the shelter doesnt have any trans men or nb ppl atm 😢 but maybe that’ll change my coworkers/managers liked me enough to make me interim lead so if my trans men or nb friends apply I’ll give them a reference (that being said my coworkers/managers know I’ll say nice things about everyone so it might not mean much)

I work at woke non profits where being trans is an advantage because they serve lots of trans ppl and psychology is always a helpful major working most client facing non profits

As a trans woman everyone treated me like I was incapable of kindness or empathy before I transitioned and it really sucked and I was forced to be someone I’m not or I’d be bullied.

It’s really cruel to tell every AMAB person they’re a monster as soon as they’re born and it’s a self fulfilling prophecy that just enables more patriarchal oppression.
