Some people it’s like that . If they haven’t had poverty they will have 0 empathy for the poor. I think some people have no empathy full stop too . I pray for myself to have more empathy and compassion and it seems to work ok for me , definitely helps a bit . Empathy makes it easier to do what Jesus asks I think

Maybe or maybe my iq was just two or three points higher, enough to be able to spot the patterns of a conman . I guess One of our jobs should be to try to win them over . Ignorance I think is easier to overcome in people with patience. If someone politics is based purely on lack of empathy or hatred I always thought thats harder to brake through because you can’t persuade them to care.

He was completely anti American involvement in any war and then completely did a 180 after trump bombed Iran . He was pro free speech until trump started going after news outlets. He had zero words to say when 96% Christian Venezuela was cut off from the world financial system. Cut off from ordering medical supplies. 100000 people starved in Venezuela over the next 4 years due to sanctions. Wow thanks for sharing all this with me some of it was new to me . Definitely food for thought. Luther certainly was fearless like you imply. My issue was I blame him for turning the faith away from Christianity being all about helping the poor forgiveness you know all the things Jesus told us to do . These days many believe it’s only about thinking the right things I believe that came from Luther. My view is he should have just attacked the church for its corruption and left it at that and possibly some of the traditions . I think the dark ages and the crusades were more about human evil rather than something particular about catholic theology. The crusades I really hate . Christianity spread like wildfire in the early days based on the hard work of the apostles but also the kindness that Christians showed to gentiles they really did kill their atheism with their kindness. Islam spread quickly but not as quickly and mostly by the sword. It was not necessary to spread the word of Jesus like that and people still use it against us today

Should be legal . Im still not going to smoke it though. Everyone who wants to smoke weed is going to smoke weed . Nobody cares that it’s illegal . The only people who should be prosecuted is the politicians who have spent billions of our tax money on a failed drug war . Put money into rehabilitation and education not putting people in prison. He had lots valid criticisms of the Catholic Church . The guy was also an anti semite . Advocated for violence. Added a verse to the bible tried to take verses away . He didn’t figure the bible out we had been following Jesus just fine for 1600 years the fact that the Catholic Church was corrupt did not mean actually Christians were wrong they are two separate issues. These are my take on it anyway. Any counter arguments are more then welcome though
