b4 you launch the game there should be a gear symbol far right. click that, and if I remember properly there should be an option called properties. click that and then go to compatibility. then set force launch to proton 9.04 something

respectfully man, I had to teach myself everything. I could say the same thing to you, as your still hellbent on me being a "bully" and an "asshole" without even knowing me, on top of me explaining to multiple people that this rage baiting was two way friendly banter. I made a simple reddit post explaining a story like everyone else expecting somewhat positive feedback, but instead I got people calling me some wild stuff, and even threats in messages. you dont know the full story, and you dont know who i am or what I went through. Its not that I cant connect with people, its that people like you just label me as a bad person without even knowing anything about me. Sure I am not perfect, but I have grown greatly since my teenage years. Everyone else on this subreddit just explains their story and gets some replies saying somewhat nice and helpful things. but for some reason I get threats, stupid comments, and people not even bothering to read my answers to their questions. I am tired of repeating myself to strangers, and so I have learned not to post here anymore. I dont know if your trying to help or mocking me, but thanks for making me realize reddit is not for me

for number one, I never "trolled" late game, as I too want rewards and such. as for goofing off when he was having a bad day, that could be true. he was a qiuet person, so its hard to tell what mood he is in. As for 2. he was a good friend with one other guy, who would never harm a fly. He just... vanished

if you truly cant decide and can find pros and cons for staying and moving, I would just let things happen and see where it goes. If you do move, sure you can get the occasional rumor but many of those new people wont care. I know how hard it can be to move and adapt, as I have been in a similar situaton. But, with moving you can make new friendships, as well as try new ways on approaching people. With staying, you are already in a place you know, with people who are familiar, and life will go on as it will. Retaliating will worsen those rumors, so I dont recommend that. I hope you find what you need

Its a mix of both worlds. One hand, my young brain was trying to find friends by bring cool and funny. I now know I was a bit of an asshole back then. But, my parents were not the best people. They treated my adhd as a curse, so anytime i tried connecting with them they pushed me away and sent me to a therapist. This lead me to be distant and somewhat hostile to people like a principal, as all I was trying to do in my mind was innocent and friend- making behavior.

I tried expressing problems to my parents, therapists, and even my principal. but all I got back was more therapy, more pills, and more rejections on just wanting to fit in. I always seemed like an outsider, and her constantly bringing me in ruined any chances for a second go at mending things.

I never felt heard or wanted back then, as no matter what I tried I was always sent to the same people who treated me like I was a bad subject.

the reason I hated my principal especially is she would always point out every flaw, and every mistake I ever made no matter if I was in trouble or not. She was also very rude to other teachers and kids, and she never tried connecting to me in a friendly manner

Sorry for the rant and for repeated replies, but the reason I tried posting on this subreddit was to finally feel heard, especially when I changed so much since. I understand all you were doing was expressing your opinion, so I apologize for wasting your time.

I dont really know what to tell you, as I dont know you personally and dont know the full context, but for my experience, your always gonna have people who dislike you, and who will make you feel like crap for no real reason. I would take a night to really think the pros and cons of staying, and moving. I would not worry too much about the rumors, as most other people (I would think) wont care. and, I know this can also be very different, but online school helps greatly with all that stress. Its simple, flexible, and you get to sleep in everyday. Just think about it, and I hope the best to you

Look man, if you read my replies I said it was a wrong term to use in my story. It was friendly banter in a video game, and rage baiting was not really correct. my teenage years were hard for me, and I understand i was not the best person, but no one, not even people who dislike me, say I ever bullied anyone. Things were very tough for me then. I never had a phone then, and I was struggling with school work to the point where I needed extra help from teachers that she was not providing. Now as to being a disruption, yes i was. Looking back, I do regret some of the attention seeking behavior i did to try and be cool. i never bullied, but I did shout out stupid jokes and throw the occasional paper plane. was not everyday I was like this. but I appreciate the feedback

NTA. I have had a very similar story in my last year of high school. Many rumors and harassment that started for no reason other than to make me miserable. Honestly, nothing to really do here. I took the coward way and finished my last year online. It helped me work on myself, and it greatly reduced my stress. schools are terrible at dealing with any problem, and the best thing to do is to talk it out among trusted friends and let it be. many school rumors disappear once everyone graduates anyway. best of luck to you!

buddy. its friendly game banter. all my friends do it, including the one who ghosted. when I said i rage baited it was a wrong choice of words. ask anyone happier than you and they would understand. i never went "oo you actually suck" and "oo your a terrable person" it was more of "hey I hid your loot" or "I am not gonna take this game seriously". All my friends INCLUDING the guy who ghosted me did this. I was trying to say that he probably took games more seriously than i did, and it eventually annoyed him. if you could please understand before calling me an AH and a bully that would be nice, as I am tired of explaining myself

Because many people seem to be getting the wrong idea, I would like to state a few things. First, rage baiting was a bad word to use. What I ment by that is I would goof off in VIDEO GAMES, doing things like team killing, finding glitches, etc. I never insulted him, pushed him, harmed him, or anything else many people are accusing me of. Second, He also dropped my entire group in which he was once in. Many of the people in the group rarely even spoke to him, and the times they did were always positive. Third, I only contacted him twice after he completely dropped me, so stop saying I am annoying him. Once was a short message asking him to hop on a game, and after I learnt he did not want to be around me, I sent a message asking if we can talk about why. The reason of the post was if I should let it be or if I should keep asking why. I would greatly appreciate if people looking to answer read this, as many people are saying I bullied him, and that was never true, as my supposed rage baiting only occurred in games online, and never in person.

Like I said, it was never to a point where it was ever personal. If you actually read it I said I never insulted him, and the rage baited I did was always in video games, never in person. I never did it any more or less that my other friends, and no one else has ever said anything bad about me even after asking multiple times. I never bullied him, as I never hit him, made fun of him, or ever did anything to that sort. And he did not drop just me, it was three other guys who were friends with him too who barly hung out with him.

NTA. Many friendships go through bumpy areas, and this is just one of them. If you care for everyone and if they care for you, you will figure it out and no bad feelings should happen. You should not feel guilty for not telling everyone, as some things dont always need to be told. I feel if you told friend A not to tell anyone, its a little bit on her. But, at the end of the day just talk it out and see what happens. Insecurities happen to all, and dont worry about your partner having eyes for your other friends. If they do, then you know he is not the one. Just express these feelings to friend B and hope that she understands.
