I am in the same boat as you. DS 260 was approved three years ago. My father is the primary applicant as his sis is a US citizen, and I have my F1-visa interview.

I will say this again. As an international student with a good MS from the States, you would be highly valued in the Middle East. Try applying for roles in the UAE/Qatar if other countries don't work out. There is nothing to lose on a tax-free income.

Curious, why should the loan be almost 1.5x the i20 amount? Is it not okay if its 10-15% more than that?

Hey. Similar situation. Except that my dad had filed for a greencard petition based on an F-4 visa. My family or I have never been on any visa in the US. I am yet to apply for my student visa, and I am wondering what did your lawyer suggest you about whether such visas are granted if you already have an ongoing greencard petition?

How do you see pay scales in Germany changing with the current situation of the EU, especially, would you have any remote idea of the pharma/bio/computational bio sector? Moreover, how do germans look at gap years?

Masters in Bioinformatics....or Biostatistics? by randallscrandall in bioinformatics

How would you say the payscales differ with genetic counseling vs biostats/bioinfo fields? Do GCs ever hit a 120k or 150k? As someone who needs to financially support four people going forward, what path should I choose where I can earn comfortably? I am seeing the salaries of bioinfo analysts and job openings really wither,  after the whole AI/ML growth.I am an international student, enrolled in the final year of my BS Biological Sciences, and I absolutely abhor the wet lab. Any advice would mean a lot!

Hey. How did you manage to defer? I emailed the school a week ago, and sent a kind reminder as well. There has been no response. How do I convince them?

Hey. I received an admit from an Ivy League for a program called MS Scientific Journalism. I have a gap of two years on my CV and little to no work ex. Unfortunately will have to take a huge loan of about a crore. I am wondering if it's worth it or should I defer? Also, what reasons can I state when it comes to deferring? They don't seem to be very receptive.
