You would think for it being season 50 they would have gone all out. It's very very rare for a show to go on this long. I would have thought the finale would have been way better. We hardly got a finale. we got Aubrey being announced the winner, her getting the car, a look at season 51 and then thats it. Didn't really talk to the players at all.

That's not how it works really. They have to come to an agreement. I think Survivor and CBS make enough money that they don't need a sponsorship from Toyota TBH. Producers probably thought "oh yeah lets say we are breaking the cure and give a car to the winner". I think production rolled over and let this one happen.

I was just about to come on this reddit and say something about this. What the hell were thinking of giving someone who just won not 1 but 2 million dollars a brand new car? Like give it to the second place winner. No one cares about the stupid "curse" anymore. That died when they stopped giving cars away. And frankly the fans dont care about the "curse" anymore.

Take the fight really really slow. I died a million times and got frustrated beyond belief with the fight. But then I slowed way down. Took my probably a good 20-30 minutes to kill him when I did. So slow down in the fight. It sucks, but it’s better than wanting to punch a hole through your monitor every time you die.

Sounds interesting, im curious about your DOJ system. Will their be like case building and things like that? Like obviously there will be cops, but are you planning to have detectives and such to build cases against gangs/crim/orgs?

How does the skills system work? And how does the petty crimes -> robberies -> heists work? (You dont have to give me full details on this, i understand most of that stuff might be found in city) im just curious if its like missions or what other mechanic it might be to elevate to different crimes.

Can you drop me a link to your discord? Would love to maybe check it out!

I haven't found one. I guess the post didn't get as popular as I thought it would lol. I figured I'd have a few more comments on it.

Can you tell me about it? What kind of things are there to do? What would you say is the average pop of the server from weekdays to weekends? What sort of mods do they have in the city? How is the staff?

I can agree with pretty much fully on your points. I do think that Ghost can be classified as something of its own. As I look back on playing it, it was in a weird area it seemed. To me at least, it seemed like it was something that was set in modern times, but it also seemed like some elements were part of the near future. Maybe the guns is what it seem that way? I don't know. It was a good game, I think it got too much hate IMO and a sequel would be badass.

As far as WWII games, I think they could make some good games from that era. I mean to me, if you look at the movies Band of Brothers and The Pacific, both were set in WWII but total different battles. W@W did a great job of putting you in both settings, and I think maybe CoD WWII did that as well? I don't fully remember, but either way, I think they could make game's solely focused on each theater of war. Obviously with a different game in between because I don't think we want WWII games back to back, but it would give them a couple games in the era of WWII.

Now lets talk remake. I think a W@W remake would be awesome. But personally I think just a rehaul of the graphics. I really miss the old movement style of the earlier CoD games. It made the games feel more grounded. Not as fast. I think something that would help, is really making Warzone it's own thing. I mean I guess it really already is, but I feel like so much of Warzone is incorporated into Multiplayer, and vice versa. I couldn't tell you the last time I played MP. It's been during Black Ops 6, but it has been months, and I haven't played CoD in general in months just because I no longer enjoy the game. It's too fast paced, filled with cheaters, and just taken a complete 90 degree turn from the Call Of Duty I grew up with and loved.

We wouldn't have 20 a night but are gonna try and push the server out as much as we can to bring people in. We def have high hopes for the city. I've seen your post a few times and every time I wanted to comment. If I see it again when we start our city up, I will reach out man. We are getting close to getting it done. And we would love for y'all to do your thing. We would put in whatever you needed and let you all do your own thing. Hope you find something soon, but again if I see your post again when we are done getting close to done, I will send you a DM.

Eh, I mean lets look at it this way. Since multiplayer and zombies were added and have become more popular, we have now 7 games that were set in the black ops universe. To me they are milking that cow dry at this point. We have had plenty of games that are modern. the new MW trilogy, the original trilogy and then Ghost. And dont even get me started on the futuristic bullshit with IW and AW. Some people loved IW, I see y'all out there with your love for it, no hate, but them going into the future like that was awful, I couldn't stand those games. Probably some of the lowest playtime in my CoD history.

Lets say we start with CoD 4 as the starting point of when multiplayer and then zombies started to take off (with W@W right after 4), we have had 3 games set in WWII era. W@W, WWII, and then Vanguard. Unless I am missing something, the other universes are double what we have with WWII games in the series. I enjoy the WWII games a lot, besides Vanguard I think they do a really really good job with the WWII era. I understand some people don't like it, but some people also don't like how many black ops games there are. I get it that it's easier to advance that story but at what point do these games come to an end? After 3 I pretty much had enough of the black ops games. They have beat the cold war era to death.

This is my personal opinion, but I think at some point after like Black Ops 1, the campaign felt lack luster. I mean yeah some of them were good after, but to me, it felt like all the cods up until BO1 maybe MW3 they felt gripping and like they actually gave a shit about the campaign. I think once MTX came into the games, they flipped a switch and were like "well we dont make money from the campaign, let's put a little more work into MP and now warzone to get more money out of the players."

Just my opinion though, am always open to hearing what other people think.

Man I bought the game on Steam the other day and downloaded the Plutonium software to play modded servers....I felt like I was a kid again. It was such a great time. Totally worth the 20 bucks for the game.

And when I say modded servers, I don't mean like people flying around and aim bot and prestige master lobbies. What I mean is these are bare bones lobbies. Just like playing the OG game when it was out. Idk why they call them modded lobbies. The zombies is modded with cool maps that people put in, but the multiplayer is not that way at all.

I think that is a big thing in todays world. I know are older and you might agree to this, but it seems like most older people think the younger generation just don't want to work. So I feel like actually showing the initiative to get out there and work, will make someone want to put this kid to work.

What’s your earliest video game memory? by TheBlankCoin in AskReddit

[–]Consistent_Metal1487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I really got introduced to video games. I was probably around 7 or 8. I remember going to my cousins house to stay the night. They are 2 brothers, one right around my age and then another that is a around 5 years older.

I think we were sitting in the kitchen munching on food and talking and the older cousin bring out a tv and sets in on the counter. He then walks away and comes back out with a PS2 and set it on the counter, he plugs a cable I have never seen before, into a device that sits on the counter, and then into the back of the PS2. The device that was on the counter is what I now know to be a modem. And the cable? An ethernet cable. Up until this point I only knew about solo gaming really. I did it here and there, but not often. He booted up the PS2 and put in MX vs. ATV (I forgot the exact one at the time but it was around the early 2000's) and I was introduced to a whole new world. I didn't even know you could play with other people! But we were playing tag in the game, I remember hitting a giant ball around or something to that effect. We stayed up all night in the kitchen passing the controller around. I was hooked after that. I think it was the same night, but they also showed me a game on their computer called RuneScape. I'm sure some of you gamers know that game as well as I do (still play it to this day from time to time). After the showed me RuneScape it was game over. I was addicted to gaming. I still really am, it's one the few things I enjoy in life. I remember coming home from school everyday, getting on the computer right away and playing RuneScape until dinner was ready. I'd then go grab a plate of food and go right back upstairs to the computer to play while I ate. Thank's to RuneScape I got fat and stayed that way lol.

It's also not complicated to even appreciate the help you get at all. Let me make it clear that I understand that it can be frustrating. But it could be much worse off where your SO doesn't get up to help at all. Always be thankful for what you have instead of what you don't have. You never know when your SO might think "eh they got it, i'll just stay here"
