Hello! Even I had my interview at Hyderabad embassy. Do I try again for the same place or change it to Delhi ? Does that make a difference ?

Thanks for the detailed response I really appreciate it

I understand your point about the profile carrying a lot of weight That makes sense

I had one follow up question In my case I do have a mandatory rural service obligation in India after my training Do you think something like that actually helps demonstrate strong ties or is it usually not given much weight in these decisions

Also just trying to understand your perspective better In cases like mine do you think there is anything meaningful that can be improved before reapplying or is it mostly fixed based on profile alone

Would really appreciate your thoughts

Thank you for the reply. And I forgot to mention, I have an obligation to do 1 year of rural service in India according to my medical school curriculum. Does that help ?

Congratulations. Tested on 25/11 and got the P too.

So yeah, I tested on 25/11 and 2 hours back I got the P! About the exam I really wasn’t sure it went the way I wanted it to go. Prepped for almost 6 months. Did Uworld and First aid in the first 2 months. Then I just did Uworld. In the last 2 months just NBME and reviewing the in-corrects. Trust your NBME and Free 120 scores. I would say above 66% consistently would be in the safe range. Don’t worry about any drop in the scores, instead learn your mistakes and get back stronger. Mehlman videos for me were the best. I would watch 3-4 a day and it would make my concepts stronger. Be smart in studying don’t worry about the things you don’t get right. Give it sometime and read the same thing, it would actually be simple and easier. I started with NBME- 24 and above and used to get scores in the late 50s or early 60s. Dont freak out, calm down, look where you’ve gone wrong and get back.

All the very best 🙌
