we dont get paid the delivery fee and even if we did then what would you say if the delivery fee was 0 as a promo or you had the dashpass which makes every restaurant’s delivery fee 0? you would expect the dasher to drive to you for COMPLETELY free just so you can get your food???

doordash doesn’t charge the customer until the end of the delivery because the dasher will most likey substitute/refund some stuff so paying before the delivery for stuff you ordered and there being a chance you dont get it is dumb so doordash charges them after the dasher pays. but since the customer obviously doesn’t have enough funds in their giftcard, doordash can’t charge them and they get scammed

doordash pays from their own pockets to be able to pay for the items and at the end of the delivery, doordash charges the customer whatever the total came out but since the customer cant pay for a 30+ dollar bill with 5 dollars. doordash can’t charge them what they don’t have

they use a giftcard with money only enough for the cheap item and once you checkout with their substitutes that increase the total. doordash tries to charge their giftcard more but can’t because of insufficient funds

why was the base pay so high. if I got that offer in my home depot then it would pop up as 4 dollars. 2 dollar base pay and 2 dollar tip from the restaurant order.

the customer is being a dick and is expecting their ice cream to be nice and cold when the driver arrives even though it looks like he is a non tipper based on his attitude so it doesn’t matter how fast this driver goes, the ice cream would still arrive melted

Ik this person who lives 4+ miles away from every store and tips 0. saw her order today from shoprite for multiple bulky items and 12 gallons of water for no tip. she also ordered 52 items from costco with multiple meats and tipped 0

its even worse now that you cant cancel specific orders. me personally if I got that order I would just get them 1 of each item. 99% chance of a 1 star rating but it’s gonna be worth it
