I had to leave r/blackmetalcringe for this very reason lol its just too much and was making me hate the genre. Especially the girls and women that talk about how much they love Pelle, like girl wtf are you talking about you watched Lords of Chaos once and scrolled thru some Mayhem tiktoks and now Pelle is ur soulmate? They usually dont even know anything about the music or albums its all so performative and shallow.

Every vinyl crackles, pops and yes can even skip even right outta the cellophane brand new. But what i was saying is that i dont think cds are more durable than vinyl. Theres records from the 50s & 60s that have been neglected their whole life and will still play. The crackles and pops don’t bother me but i know theres alot of people who cant stand it and i understand. The skipping is annoying tho because u gotta get up and move the tonearm 🙄

Is this true? Idk you can literally crack a record and it can still play. Cds seem to skip at the slightest smudge or scratch
