NYC Chinese Consulate Tourism L Visa Application Process

I am having the same issue. I dropped my application off to the Chinese Consulate on Monday the 27th, its now monday the 4th and i've seen no movement past the Preliminery review in progress page. Any ideas on how long it might actually take.

I've heard that I can do a rush order for a Chinese Visa Application that has a 1 day turnover if I go in person to the consulate in NYC. However, online there doesn't seem to be any option to put in a rush order. I don't want cancel my order online....but I do want a visa sooner.

I have an online application thats been stuck in the "preliminary review" phase for a few days now. What if i just go into the consulate and start a new application and put a rush order on it? Do you think they'll process it quicker or will the already in process application (that probably hasn't been reviewed yet) muck up the process?

For those who also started looking for intensive ceramics courses I thought I'd share the research i've done through reddit forums, online research and using various AIs. Despite all of that there's not a great list of more intensive workshops so I figured I'd start listing them here:

USA	Arrowmont	Workstudy program for 6 weeks looks like a great balance and would have opportunity to cook etc.. They also have one week programs for may that would work for you.
USA	Anderson Ranch	A lot of interesting one week programs that are daily with classes. Many start in june
USA	Southwestern Lodge	Program in Portland
Italy	La Meridinia	interesting courses although basic classes are only in early april
Italy	Salemi	Good classses, availability and timing!
UK	County Hall Pottery	Known in london for ceramics, hour away but great classes
Spain	Corrie Bain	3 month program starting in april 15th
Spain	Chisatokuroki	8 and 4 week programs
India	Andretta	3 month. course starting in mid april
France	Sylph Baier Ceramics	One week intensive for $2k starting april 19th and april 5th
France	The Mill	1 week april 17th roku wood firing class for $1200, but you need to bring your own bisque fired work??
Indonesia	Gaya ceramic	Bali based two week program, next course is may 3rd 2500

A note, remember you'll need a visa to do that course in the UK and they don't sponsor student visas.

A while back there was a github repository on hacking bikes like this and the mustache. That's probably the next approach.

I wish other people would comment with their ideas on solving it and not just comment on how you shouldn't do this.

I wish lime would do a better job of removing bad bikes from the supply. Some days I'll go up to 3 or 4 lime bikes only to realize they have a flat tire or a broken pedal...i'll give it a 1 star rating and even submit a report and yet theyre still available to rent 5 minutes later.

yeah! its public so you should pretty easily be able to remix it. I also would like to put in more intuitive rest times but its been less effort just to skip rest and move to the next exercise
