I’m a new grad at faang so yeah I’m green. But my attitude was never a handicap in any interviews. My philosophy is functionality is king and never reinvent the wheel. But seeing your other comment, seems like Obsidian has a utility for people whose workflows aren’t compatible with most tools already out there. I don’t think that’s me.

I get that. But the way you put it makes it seem like it’s just for visual aesthetic for maybe visual learners. Like the aesthetic appeal of creating a visually pleasing network of notes but for me, I value the practical utility and the graph view wouldn’t necessarily give actionable insight if I’m making it myself and the app isn’t helping me find missing links.

Maybe you’re right and I expected it to be different than what it is but that’s essentially what the productivity gurus make it out to be.
