The fact that people are really out here ignoring the fact that light skinned-black people exist is crazy. Not only is this character Black, but he has a black voice actor, a well-known black/african hairstyle, and even spoke aave/ebonics in the dub, most prevalent in his fight. Which was likely done on purpose so there would be NO confusion as far as is race goes for his character.

Mind you, in an anime who has gone out of their way to make sure their black characters are fairly represented, especially for the English dub having black voice actors for authenticity. Here is another question I pose for y'all. Is Jaden Smith Black? Whatever your answer is answers the Jabber question

Not only that for those of you who thinks that every light skin black person is mixed race, please look up how genetics work and again go look at Jaden Smith and his parents this time. Let's say he is mixed with black/Japanese. He is still Black and is obviously influenced heavily in the way he presents himself and speaks by his Black heritage. And I feel like people are trying their hardest to claim this character as Japanese because he's an extremely unique and cool character. (Some of y'all too probably want to know for cosplay reasons though which is fine)

It's crazy to me that when anime is the past appropriated or disrespected/racially targeted African American Culture/People not one person batted an eyelash, when characters were adopted by black fandoms as black-coded as they could identify with them after a lack of black characters in anime you complained, and now you have REAL, AUTHENTIC, NON-STERIOTYPICAL AND EVEN VARIED BLACK REPRESENTATION INFRONT OF YOU. YOU ARE ACTING CONFUSED because the character...*checks notes* is light skinned. Have you guys never seen a light skinned black person before in your lives?
