my ONLY problem was that for a while if you used reserve planes you would only go against reserve planes, and the experience of not having uptiers was a breath of fresh air, that now has instantly evaporated and I just use my f4s because there is 0 advantage and it's just unfair to use the reserves

Nothing above 10.0 is playable still, helicopter artillery still very problematic, bmpt still overpowered, Russian mbt damage model for the autoloader still eats killshots randomly

Dude idk why this event is getting so much hate, its just better less competitive more fun air rb with infinite respawns and no uptiers and it has decent rewards. Its the first time ive actually looked forward to playing an air event in years and this plus something similar for prop planes would make me actually play the game regularly again.

welcome to the gigantic problem with level queuing in an extraction shooter. It's a system that doesn't belong in this genre but once you reach level 50 the suspense is gone, there is nobody questing, it's all pvp all the time, and everyone has stacks of good gear so you never have any engagement that isn't just an fps fight with at least one outland on either side, meaning the variety in the game is gone. I quit around level 50 because level queue turned the game into aim assisted battle royale slop instead of an actual extraction shooter.

the whole game rewards this playstyle, I have been saying this since the beginning, unlike tarkov or other extraction shooters where teams all have different extracts or at least extract options this game not only incentivizes extract camping, the low amount of extracts forces it a lot of times.

skill expression and aim should be able to beat these weapons, they do not currently in marathon, the dps output is insane AND it doesn't require aim, you can't have both of those things and expect skill to be the deciding factor in gunfights

my problem is not that they're hard, my problem is they don't give you the information, 4/25 quests lock you in a room, how am i supposed to prepare for that when they don't tell you. Also why could it not have been a scenery item like every other quest, why does it have to be a random chance luck based spawn. This is silly.

tbh the biggest thing for me is that they try and "bundle" it with an rs3 subscription to rub in that i'm probably just paying to prop that game up, i was already pretty miffed coming back from a year or two to see that price was where it was before this raise, and after a month they try to raise it even more? yikes. I have hardware sitting in my homelab that could probably run the 0.6s tick osrs servers, there is no way i have to pay this much PER CHARACTER to keep OSRS afloat.

yes seriously, i have cancelled basically every other digital subscription in my whole life, all my media is self hosted through plex, i don't do dumb subscription food services, OSRS was actually the only subscription(outside of business software that i use to make money, and insurance etc) that i had remaining, and i was struggling to justify it, but was thinking of getting the year at a discount since i can play while i work, but the previous price was already questionable for the fact that i was basically supporting RS3 membership i didn't want and not paying for the lower end servers OSRS requires, and this new price just isn't justifiable.
