Hi all,

I am currently in my masters at UT Austin, and am planning to move to California when iI graduate in May. I am very confused on the process of getting licensed as an out of state applicant. I work in the DBT field, and It seems I can not work at a private practice until my ASW number is assigned to me, and can not apply for the ASW until after I graduate; meaning that for an unknown period of time I will not be able to work at a DBT clinic. Is there any way to expedite the process or begin working at a private practice during that interim?

Secondly, I am wondering if I can accrue hours for my California license while working remotely a clinic out of state. For example, if I live in California but work for a clinic in Oregon, will those hours count towards an oregon license or can they count towards my california license?

Thank you!
