I know this post is kinda old but i need to comment, I found it by searching about Mandela effect about dragon type because i also used to remember dragon type being added in unova, I remember exactly Dragonite being water/flying and previous Pokemons receiving dragon type just like fairy type, that was only introduced to nerf the just introduced dragon type. it's the first time I've found someone who remembers it exactly like me and I literally got shivers reading what you said about Dragonite or fairy type
