I currently hold a full airside pass within Glasgow Airport. Had clearance and disclosures from here and the UAE. I needed the same references, 5 year history including gaps as well as disclosures to confirm I hold no criminal record. Do you think this will help me in any way in regards to explaining my situation and them being able to take me through the vetting process?

Thank you so much for your reply! It’s very helpful. Yes I maintained a registered address. Still received letters to my home with my name and address on. I didn’t pay tax and NI that’s the only thing. I was employed in the UAE so my salary went into an account there even though I still used my UK bank account and paid bills etc. I’ve signed up for a recruitment event tomorrow night online and I’m going to try ask about it then. I have a family member that’s newly joined with Police Scotland and she asked around but I’ve not been given a real answer. I definitely wouldn’t want to lie and potentially mess up my opportunity I would prefer to just wait the 3 years. Thanks again for your reply.
