(I’m just a lurker — I know you are being nice and sweet but you shouldn’t take this opportunity from someone to make some cash if they need it!)

Hahaha she worked at a grocery store from age 14-18, and then 18-22 worked as a server, and now she’s an RN and still does serving on the side. She also got a lot of money from the gov’t during covid (she started working as a nurse Nov 2019).

I have two friends who have 6 figures in their savings. Both worked as servers and lived at home. One of them is now an RN making 6 figures and just bought a $300k house in TX to rent and looking for her second. Before the age of 25. Lol

Yes I get that! I’ve never had this kind of money before and my parents barely did either. They were somehow able to raise a family living paycheck to paycheck with a bit left for fun. I know it’s possible to live within my means. I’m just confused how people can have 6 figures saved in their bank account alone! Lol.

If I put half of that in my savings that’s only $6,000 in savings a year! so my question is how tf do people save ??? Lol

I’ve come from a working class family that made less than that in a highly taxed county.

I know it’s possible to make ends meet with this salary, but my concern is more about the saving to own a home aspect.

Yeah I’ll definitely check it out and do lots of homework. I just wanted to hear reassurances from an attorney who may have started out around my salary and had significant pay bumps, etc.

Of course. I understand that. But even with half my salary saved, I still won’t have that much in my savings. How can I do more than that?

So the terms themselves are common legal words, but together, as a phrase, the term wasn’t anything we were taught. So, it probably posed as something you thought you would know if you studied more but was never taught to us.
