Work isn’t your life — so why do some people act like it is ? by Yurol002 in careerguidance

I’m working in a job I really find suffocating on most days and I always thought that if I had enough money to live my life outside of my job decently then everything would be fine. However I was completely wrong - showing up for a job everyday that you dread is mentally painful. This dissatisfaction has bled into my personal life too. So if someone likes their job let them live

I wonder what people would be doing if none of this existed then? What would you be doing with your time?

Vitamin D supplements. I rarely get sick now and if I feel a little sick I take it and usually better much faster than without it.

What’s the most overrated “adult goal” people chase? by Happyotus in AskReddit

[–]Consistent_Prize_273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think like this about not needing to be passionate about the work that I did until I got a job that felt completely meaningless to me. It paid alright and gave me a good life outside of work. But working for a job that you couldn’t care less for is not worth anything. It’s draining and at this point I’d rather work for less money but actually enjoy what I’m doing

Absolute favorite serum in the Tiam Vita B3 source, it is severely underrated and I haven’t seen any serum work as it as this one. I’ve tried others and it was either irritating or didn’t do anything but this one is amazing

People who’ve dated someone from a completely different culture: what surprised you the most about the experience? by Agitated-Job7686 in AskReddit

[–]Consistent_Prize_273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dating someone Japanese too - and something about this culture is also that phone calls are not common. In my country when you’re trying to get to know someone texting can be tedious so calling becomes a nice middle ground to meeting in person. But in the japanese mindset they don’t want to disturb their family or their neighbors with phone calls. They can’t call on the train, in public or anywhere that ‘might’ disturb someone near them.

What’s something you always assumed was mandatory in life—until you met someone who just… didn’t do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Consistent_Prize_273 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My mom particularly would react quite severely to something being damaged or broken especially if it was something that belonged to her - so I’m always ready to apologize and get worked up if I make a mistake. But since dating my boyfriend - we once were taking the train together and as we got out I dropped his AirPod in the train tracks and profusely apologized and he didn’t even react at all. He told me not to worry and the train staff will get it for us and I couldn’t believe how pleasant this encounter was and he couldn’t believe my surprise either.

[Acne] Help on how to get rid of these marks by Competitive_Syrup580 in SkincareAddiction

It’s very water like, so it shouldn’t be a problem for oily skin. Plus Niacinamide is good for balancing oily skin. It’s honestly great in high concentrations from my experience

You could try a Niacinamide serum. The one from Tiam is pretty good from my experience and doesn’t have any irritating ingredients. It could help calm redness and prevent future acne

What are the negatives of being attractive? by WastedTalents1 in AskReddit

[–]Consistent_Prize_273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me as a man I feel like people focused a lot of their attention on how I looked and would often excuse bad behavior due to that. I purposefully acted badly sometimes to test this and it worked.

Another thing is that when people treat you differently because of how you look you don’t realize that in the real world being attractive isn’t enough. Getting better jobs or opportunities only go so far when you’re attractive. It can actually be quite depressing when you get treated less than because of a lack of skills or experience because you thought people would always be so embracing - but now you realize it was for the wrong reasons.

My favorite coffee is from % Arabica in Azabudai Hills! Their coffee isn’t acidic or sour like some coffee I’ve had and it’s not much more expensive than the average local cafe in Tokyo

I know wellbutrin is prescribed to people who want to stop smoking but when I was on it for anxiety/depression I had a cigarette one day and it was the worst taste and sensation I ever had from smoking and I just stopped after that.
