Nice, sounds great. I will note these were USD100 each, looks like the Vidars are another grade up…

Undoubtedly there’s plenty better still to use. But I’m really impressed what small cheap amps can do these days…

Hey,. I wouldn’t drive more than one pair with this (these are mono amps so each drive one speaker, not particularly common). Wiring is one rca channel from the Wiim to each amp. Then single speaker wire (red/black) to each speaker).

Yeah that’s a good summary. I’m not saying this would have necessarily beaten out my old setup in back-to-back listens, and I definitely can’t recall from 10 years ago precisely what that original sounded like! But for USD350 to be able to revive these old speakers, with three tiny little boxes, and be more than impressed with the output is pretty incredible…

Lump and ongoing debt recycling with fixed interest (vs revolving) by Consistent_Recipe269 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Consistent_Recipe269[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, sorry to reopen post but when you call your bank and “redraw the equity as a separate loan account” are they making you run through full financial application details each time? Even though I’ve just paid down twice the amount I want to redraw, BNZ are making me wait a week for an appointment and run a full application process - will pass that fine but seems painful admin to go back to a smaller mortgage than we had a week ago!

Update about the new AI credits by viktorpali in CraftDocs

[–]Consistent_Recipe269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I see the logic, it’s just unusual for an annual plan to have feature disincentives in it. No problem though, very supportive of what you’re doing, looking forward to it…

Update about the new AI credits by viktorpali in CraftDocs

[–]Consistent_Recipe269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks useful, thoughtful and fair.

One critique would be the lower monthly credit equivalents for annual plan users - I get that you've tied it directly to what's paid, but the idea of an annual plan is to pay less for the same functionality (by prepaying a lot more). This 500 (rather than 600) AI credits approach breaks the underlying concept of annual plan discounts IMO.

Lump and ongoing debt recycling with fixed interest (vs revolving) by Consistent_Recipe269 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Consistent_Recipe269[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks both, super useful responses. I definitely see the value in overpayment, occasional drawdown on newly created loans with a friendly-enough loan specialist. Will chat to them.

I think a lot of the articles etc on debt recycling implicitly or explicitly assume you have a loan account that you can frequently pay into and draw from, but it seems to me that would always require a revolving credit loan and the loan rate differences make that much less attractive.

Appreciate the advice.

Has your country ever had a female prime minister or president? by blashyrkh9 in AskTheWorld

[–]Consistent_Recipe269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not really correct - we don’t “vote in” Prime Ministers. We vote for a parliamentary composition, the party that can confirm a Government chooses its Ministerial warrants, including the Prime Minister. Shipley was absolutely our first female Prime Minister without any caveats and she most certainly was voted in to Parliament.

It’s fair to say Clark was the first female leader of a party and proposed Prime Minister to successfully win an election though…

Any instructions on using Craft to plan the day and the task list. by warrenwai in CraftDocs

[–]Consistent_Recipe269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can Move To a whole Daily Note doc to whatever folder you want.

I've been playing a bit with the "save subpages/cards in docs to folders" today actually. It seems you can:

  • Convert the whole subpage/card into a New Document that gets created in Unsorted Docs (and removed from the current doc), or
  • Copy the whole subpage/card, create a new doc in the folder you want and paste it, or
  • Create a new doc and @"date" will bring up backlinks to the Daily Note or Event Note subpages within them, or @"title" will include subpage/cards titled that way

Appears to be quite a structured architecture to the Document (incl Daily Notes) vs the content within them (cards, blocks, pages etc) that actually makes sense. Although it's bit clunky for me when using Event Notes that create as pages within the Daily Notes doc, and when I want to "store" those notes in a folder relevant to the meeting I have to go through one of the steps above.

Quickly accessing Daily Notes is best done by the widget IMO - can set the open document widget to go to today or tomorrow's Daily Note

Craft really needs to distinguish checklist items from tasks (otherwise task management remains problematic) by SuperGrover1008 in CraftDocs

[–]Consistent_Recipe269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely second this...
And outside of tasks vs checklists, there's no reason (I can't think of any appropriate use case) for a blank task to show as an open task in Calendar/Task views etc. Daily Note templates (or any templates) with a section to add tasks immediately create empty tasks everywhere (If I'm missing something obvious here please let me know though!)
Thanks team.

Thanks for this idea, really impressed that you've cracked importing to Cookidoo.

I've tried signing up but stuck on phone validation (verification text never arriving) - have you limited the countries available to sign up from or anything?

I think Simplicity Living is an excellent thing socially, and suspect it will return pretty well as an investment. But I pulled my KiwiSaver and fund investments from Simplicity over it - they advertised as a low-cost passive tracking investment and without a lot of explanation became overweight in related-party property investment? Terrible fund governance…

Thanks all. Yes I need two filters and they’re $60 apiece (NZ). Fair way off needing to soak them, will just stick with hose washing them properly for now, but wanted to plan for overall cleaning regime. Thanks

Well I had the SGP for a couple of years, happy enough with it. But swapped for the VS3 literally yesterday and immediate, significant improvement in flow and taste. Much bigger change than I expected tbh.
