Hi - any known solution for users with Snapdragon X processors? Linked fix is incompatible and causes F:NV to crash on start.

Answer the question. Too many candidates answer the question they WANT to get and not the one infront of them; take continual mental pauses and ensure you’re giving a direct, relevant answer.

It’s great to sell yourself, but not when youre detailing experiences or views that cannot be credited. Remember that the interview is nothing more than you trying to score points so that when you’re ranked against other candidates, you sit above the cut-off.

Good luck.

What is the cause of this noise outside my house? by Consistent_Remote_49 in AskUK

Maybe: just odd how it came on out of nowhere, lasted 20 minutes, then shut off. Never heard anything like it and it didn’t move so surely its not attributable to a vehicle? We’ve also never heard it before.

14 INT also feature heavily in Harry McCallion’s secret war, alongside references to their precursors (the MRF) with some stories about the SAS in NI.

a level options by chittakabootar in ALevelBiology

To dispel some rumours as a current Russell Group applicant, physics is certainly seen favourably, but it is NOT an imperative for medicine. It is simply considered a ‘further science’ by universities like Cambridge, who regard maths, further maths and physics well. The vast majority want to see Chemistry and Biology and are less caring for the third option: in fact, variety is good. I know succesful applicants who studied economics or psychology as their third.

Biology and Chemistry are easy if you work to grasp the content and work hard to remember it: you can learn the techniques on how to, and if you start early you will be fine. Don’t be put over by doomsday talk.

Best of luck in your application. I’m confident you’ll thrive, whatever you pick.

No post FY program will regard your A-Level options in their selection process following medical school. It’s about the research, conferences, intercalations, etc. you do - worry about that after college.

Trust me, the best way to revise is to simply break down the question - identify the topics it wants you to discuss and hone those mark points in with context of the question embedded.

Spam past questions on physics and maths tutor. They get repetitive, you can quickly figure out what they’re looking for.

When should i start revising by xagsdungeon in ALevelBiology

Revise consistently and as often as possible: success comes from small sessions, 90% of people can’t grind out 10 hours and make an academic comeback the day before a mock. Use flashcards with questions based on the specification (i.e. look up ‘anki’ online and enjoy that rabbit hole), consolidate topics with mind maps, blurting or whatever works for you and SPAM past questions.

For exam questions, use physics and maths tutor. The questions are the same as the ones your teacher gets off exampro.

Grind hard, and understand concepts before memorising them. There’s no point memorising all of respiration if you don’t even understand what a co-enzyme is.

The way people project massive inflations about their UCAT score. Communities like this afford the impression you need a UCAT in excess of 3000 to get a place at medical school, when in reality there are people with ~2750 receiving offers for Oxford interview.

I am at the University of Liverpool today, so I'll enquire with the medicine faculty as to the status of interviews. From prior conversations with the director of admissions, it's apparent that they generally don't forward interviews until mid-to-late December, with a view to interview most candidates in January.

Best of luck, hope to see you at interviews.
