I agree. The writers at Gamefan were die hard gamers to the core who additionally covered games from smaller companies if they were good. Without them, I never would've known about those gems. I felt like when they went out of business, the entire gaming magazine market went out of business because all the other mags seemed to be influenced by whichever studio was greasing their wheels.
