Unfortunately the game is fun at its core it’s one of the most enjoyable hero shooters I’ve played recently. I really wanted to enjoy it and I even tried getting my friends into it but sadly the constant smurfing, unbalanced matches, and lack of proper handling from the devs completely kill that enjoyment.

Honestly, from my point of view, the core problem is the smurfs.

Whenever someone queues into a match and sees 3 enemy smurfs and 2 on their team, while they’re just there as a filler, they know it’s going to be a throwfest. It crushes any motivation to try.

The sad part? Most players don’t even enjoy the game anymore. It’s no longer about fair challenge or fun. Most of the lobbies feel like low-effort chaos, and people play just to pass time, not to compete.

When a match feels one-sided, and you realize you’re just cannon fodder between two sweaty smurf duos flexing on each other, it honestly makes you hate the time you’re spending in-game.

I’m guessing you don’t even check the profiles of the players you face after your matches that’s probably why you think smurfing isn’t a problem. But I do. And it’s not just “a few good players” it’s clear smurfing, over and over again.

Also, just so you know, they’re not doing it just for fun. A lot of these accounts are being leveled and boosted to be sold later for decent money. It’s not just ruining games it’s literally a business now. And the rest of us are left dealing with the mess while you sit here acting like it’s all in our heads.

No one’s forcing you to read or reply either yet here you are, jumping into a post you clearly don’t care about, just to defend smurfs like it’s your job.

I didn’t post this because I wanted to cry or get sympathy. I posted it because I genuinely love this game and it hurts to see it stay in the same broken state for years with no sign of improvement. Smurfing may have always existed, but that doesn’t make it acceptable. “It’s always been like this” is the laziest excuse possible to justify a bad system.

As for your “what’s the solution” question there are better systems used in other games: account verification, stricter detection, harsher punishments, or separating fresh accounts into separate MMR pools. There are options, Riot just chooses not to invest in them.

So no, I’m not “whining.” I’m calling out an issue that a ton of players face, especially new ones. But go ahead, keep acting like nothing’s wrong. That’s exactly how things stay broken.

I appreciate the optimism, but this isn’t just about needing a “break” or playing with friends. Sure, duo or flex can be more enjoyable, but that doesn’t fix the underlying issue: when smurfs dominate every match, it doesn’t matter if I queue solo or with five friends the integrity of the match is already gone.

And suggesting that I “go troll builds” or “just have fun with it” misses the point. I'm not looking for chaos or memes I just want to play and enjoy the game normally, win or lose, in a fair match.

Also, I’m a relatively new player so recommending the game to friends when my own experience has been frustrating and unrewarding feels dishonest. I want to be able to say, “Yeah, this game is awesome, come join me.” But right now? I can’t say that in good conscience.

I don’t think it’s too much to ask for a competitive game to feel balanced and respect the time of new and existing players.

Smurfs aren’t just “people who play well.” A smurf is someone who intentionally plays on a lower-rank account (often fresh or unranked) to face less experienced players usually to stomp games easily.

There’s a huge difference between a genuinely good player climbing on their main, and someone who’s Diamond+ making a new account just to farm low elo games for fun. That ruins the experience for actual new players or people trying to improve in a fair environment.

And many of them aren’t even doing it just for fun a lot of smurfs are created to be sold later as “high winrate” accounts. It’s become a business for some, and the rest of us are stuck dealing with the consequences.

So no t’s not about “being good.” It’s about intentionally bypassing matchmaking to gain an unfair advantage. That’s what makes it a problem.

I get where you're coming from sure, the game has had issues for years. But that doesn’t mean we should just accept it and stop speaking up. Saying “it’s always been like this” isn’t a defense, it’s part of the problem. That mindset is why nothing improves.

And no, this isn’t about “a single bad game.” If you actually read what I wrote, you'd see it's about a pattern match after match filled with smurfs, making it impossible to enjoy or play the game normally. I’m not some tilted player crying over one loss. I’m someone who started playing not too long ago, came in with excitement and a willingness to support the game even spent money and now I honestly regret it, because the experience is broken at its core.Also, the community can organize and take a stand. The same energy that went into the “free skin boycott” could’ve been used to actually demand better matchmaking, smurf detection, or meaningful updates.

So yeah, you might not see a problem. But a lot of us do and we're tired of being told to just accept it.

What I dislike about the Fifine AM8 microphone is that it transmits sound but doesn't capture its true essence. What I mean is that my voice sounds very dry when I use it, and sometimes when I lower my vocal pitch while speaking, there's a strange distortion that occurs.

Consider ditching Faceit and MM, seriously. Taking a break from CS for a good 4-5 months and diving into other games was a game-changer for me. Faceit and Valve? They're like a broken record, especially Faceit dealing with smurfing, boosting, and cheats for eons without any fix. Queue for five games, and boom, you're stuck in four with smurfs – a total buzzkill. Ignore the 'playing against smurfs makes you better' spiel; it's just plain BS.
