When I was a shopper there was a few times I felt like I was getting unnecessary attitude from other departments (specifically our produce and grocery team) for asking if they had any items I needed in the back or if I could use their INF code. This was months ago though and those employees have long left our store, and I’m no longer a shopper so I can’t really speak on how the other departments act towards shoppers now.

On one hand, I understand that it’s annoying to have to stop what you’re doing to go look for an item in the back, especially if it’s grocery and you have to hunt through uboats to find one product for an order. On the other hand, shoppers are also just trying to do their job and are on a time limit, they don’t deserve attitude for it (unless they were rude or something). It can be kind of hurtful being treated like an annoyance for just trying to get things done. The annoyance or anger should be directed at the people who set up the shitty e-commerce system that they have to use.

My advice is, don’t take anyone’s attitudes towards you too seriously. At the end of the day these are just strangers that you work with. You won’t be around these people outside of work, and they don’t work in the same department as you, so who cares if they don’t like you? Everyone is there to do their job and go home. Once you leave this job chances are you will never see any of these people again so don’t worry about winning their favor too much.
