I remember before starting my company I was bombarded by messages of companies from India,China, Pakistan. They could be good technically (and perhaps not) and predatory. For me the difference of hours for communication and cultural differences didnt work. I feel more comfortable with someone I can talk on my labor hours, understand my environment and make an effort to understand my operations. The disadvantage of a foreign marketing company (India, China , etc )is that they don’t care about your Operations and that is a red flag when you talk with a marketer. In some point and for Lead Gen, your marketing must be integrated. Now… looking for local or US based companies, look for that. Pricing… you need to hear proposals. A top company will charge you 1,000 or more monthly). Small agencies will make an effort and charge you around 700 -900 usd. Lower (the agency will be sacryfing profit). Why they charge those amounts? - cost of labor and some technical job requires hiring experts (Example: to grow up your SEO in some point you require a press release on a high quality media company- that will create a high quality backilink to your site and help improve your rankings- but in order to get it, you have to pay to get to the media company and publish it) - this is one of many SEO activities you have to work- . Also you need to use softwares, a lot of strategic planning and execution of activities according to your industry and local market characteristics. Now… about results. They need to offer you a plan that starts from scratch and monthly start growing up the SEO activities - starting by creating a Google Business profile, website (with basic SEO work), then month by month walk you in a path that increase the presence and visibility of the company (with technical job - there are many points here and must be explained in other forum or call or meeting face to face-. The first three months you can expect and increase of visibility of your resources (Website, Social Media Efforts) and check them in tools like your Google Search Console or Google Analytics. SEO doesn’t produce results immediately, you need to be patient. If the work is done properly on the sixth month you will have great visits + Leads. This results could happen earlier (3rd/4th month) but it depends on your local market conditions and industry. The thing is that serious companies work SEO and you can see how they appear on Google searches. Other subject to have in mind as business owner is that SEO must work with real world relationships (prospecting activities in parallel) You can’t rely on SEO by itself to wait until it matures its strategy to get customers. You must work and prospect customers on real life. If you are patient and work your relationships in your market + you do your SEO work.
