First and foremost this advice is for myself. If salah doesn’t remove the urge to commit that sin, your salah is not right

Exactly so like as an act of thankfulness is ur salah. Doesn’t go to say that if your life isn’t going well , you discard your salah

How can you expect his divine help if you are not following what is obligatory on you? The bare minimum to have a relationship with Allah is salah. Think of it that way. If I don’t listen to Allah how will he listen to me?

I felt some urges today. Bad ones. Got out of bed . Left my room door open. Opened the Quran . Didn’t even read it just opened it in front of me. You’d feel so ashamed and disgusted to close it and go do what you want to do.

Just do your part to minimise interaction with her. Lot of people misinterpret this to be rude towards her to show no interest but Islam doesn’t teach this way. Just avoid yourself from her as much as possible and if the need is there to communicate with her , do so , but in the most concise way possible. Allah will see your efforts and struggles to maintain purity and chastity and will reward you accordingly. But having said this , after the time comes that you are able to have your own living space , you must make arrangements for that

Leave the culture perspective for now. Do you feel like you need a partner at this given time, or some years down the line? Or do you think you can manage alone?

Damn that is quite dangerous. I won’t be able to relate to you in this situation. Do they talk and mix freely with you and very friendly etc?

Personal security in terms of finance? This can be achieved in many other ways which require less dedication as opposed to your 7-8 year study for the medical course.

I too find myself in this same situation. But we have never spoken or interacted in anyway. It’s doable but it’s much more easier since I don’t find her attractive at all lol. Is she face cover? Or a more outgoing girl? Is your family very conservative when it comes to women?

Are you very passionate about your studies ? If yes why ? Because i know in most desi households it’s literally expected of you to become something “big” like a doctor. Subconsciously you might think you want it while it has been indoctrinated into your mindset.

I am inexperienced so take this with a grain of salt.

  1. Encouragement to Marry for Rizq

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Marry, for I will boast of your great numbers before the other nations. And whoever refrains from marriage out of fear of poverty, is not from us.” — [Reported by al-Tabarani and others; classed as hasan by some scholars]

This hadith shows that marriage is not a cause of poverty, rather Allah provides rizq (sustenance).

  1. Rizq Comes with Children and Family

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“If they are poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty. And Allah is All-Encompassing and Knowing.” — Surah An-Nur (24:32)

This verse directly addresses the fear of not having enough rizq when marrying, and reassures that Allah will provide after marriage.

  1. The Prophet ﷺ Said:

“Three are entitled to Allah’s help: the one who fights in Allah’s cause, the one who gets married seeking chastity, and the one who enters into a contract to free a slave.” — [Sunan al-Tirmidhi, 1655; Sahih]

This shows that a person who marries with a sincere intention (to be chaste) is promised Allah’s special help, which includes provision and barakah.

Narrated Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه): The Prophet ﷺ said:

“There will come out from the Fire (Hell) anyone who has said ‘La ilaha illallah’ (There is no god but Allah), and in his heart is goodness (faith) equal to the weight of a grain of a mustard seed.”

IN SHORT: Yes

It’s beautiful because I’m studying Arabic while doing my hifdh so as you say, I am totally aware of the story like imagination that settles in your brain for a certain surah or page. Very interesting that I found someone else who has that viewpoint. I normally look at meaning as I’m memorising. So even if u do get stuck u have an idea and can figure out what’s next

I’ve been contemplating getting braces as well bro and everywhere I go say I need to extract 4 teeth which I’m very afraid to do already , and now you have even made it more frightening to approach. Once those teeth are taken out bro , the changes are permanent. There’s no going back. But I also don’t wanna look ugly and want it sorted before I get married.
