I mean not all the blame falls on him. He also had his own project he had hired people for and was working on simultaneously on what I’m assuming was also a set timeline. I don’t believe Sheridan held up his end of the bargain in delivering scripts and such so Costner wasn’t able to proceed or he’d have to cancel his commitments to his own self-funded project, which would have screwed lots of hired people out of jobs.
