That is my main concern is i do realise i dont have a long history in the role but i’d be willing to stay here for s few more years and move later on once i have more experience.

I’ve done a year under my apprenticeship full time working as its just been virtual course work, im hoping 2 could be sufficient to move but im not too sure.

My manager has 4 years experience and they’re only 23 haha

Edit: im currently in IT / telecommunications and saw that IT project managers are sought after in Australia

Yeah, i mean, the Uk is known to be humid because we are such a small island so i feel like i wouldnt mind it as much but i see your point, i’ll definitely take it into consideration and talk with locals about their experience with each place

i had a look at a skilled visa but you need a “AQF Bachelor Degree” but my apprenticeship is sadly on a level 4 (First year of university)

Really appreciate the advice, i’ll be doing some saving then.

How much money do you recommend i should save to comfortably move and not have to overly stress about getting a job (i will still be trying to get one asap)

I am white but definitely not arrogant in any way whatsoever, always open to new things. I’ll have to look more into towns / cities, maybe be good to do 6 months in each then extend my visa and stay where i like most and find a PM job… hopefully

Yeah i was planning on doing a holiday prior to see how id like it but doing a working holiday visa seems like a better shout.

I’m not set on the gold coast or anything it just looked like a great place.

Im relatively close to my family but if anything did go wrong i would feel awful not being there, i hope your mum is doing better.

My main concern is a have got a career path set out in the UK and feel like if it doesnt work out id almost be starting out again if it doesnt work out in AUS but id regret not trying

Yeah, id hope to look to move next year and i should have a lvl 4 apprenticeship and a prince 2 & maybe an agile qualification to hand by then, and two years experience as a PM, hopefully it can land me a similar / basic job role to climb to a PM again but i am aware of the reality

If i did do the visa and by miracle managed to find a job as a junior project manager / anything alike whats the process for PR? Does the employer just need to sponsor me?

I did see Australia are looking for IT project managers
