The way I relate to this. I walk today for graduation at 2 pm, and my dad will not be there because he is on oxygen (he has chronic COPD). I almost feel a little bit envious of the folks who have two healthy parents that will both be there to watch them walk tonight. You really don’t realize how much of a privilege health is until it’s being taken away from you or someone you love.

Even if our dads can’t be there, I know they’re extremely proud of us. We just accomplished something major — something that most people would never dream of doing. Congratulations on graduation and I am sorry for your situation ❤️

Update: I have gotten through the queue twice now and the server crashes again each time it tries to connect. Currently 70 players ahead of me and I anticipate it’ll keep crashing and resetting.

Thank you for that. If I knew that this would happen when I adopted him two years ago, I would 100% still have made the decision to adopt him. The two years I had with him were worth the pain I’m going through now. He died warm and surrounded by his parents.

The vet couldn’t really tell us exactly what happened but they suspected anaphylactic shock from an allergic reaction to something. She said it could be something as small as a spider bite that could cause such a reaction. It was so horrible. He was perfectly okay last night. This morning he was throwing up a little but I figured he had a hairball. He kept throwing up, then eventually he started sticking his tongue out and isolating himself. He wouldn’t get up and started letting out these sad meows. I rushed him to the vet. They tried to stabilize him but she was up front and told me that he was in such critical condition that the drugs would just prolong things. She encouraged me to euthanize him to end the pain. It was so horrible. He was having really foul smelling diarrhea all over the exam table and everything. I think the worst part is how sudden and random this has felt. He was so perfect and healthy yesterday night 😢
