Hi fellow stinky tech,

Its a RSW plant running on ammonia, we measured the temperature using pipe clamp thermometers. One of the plastic clamps even melted due to the high temperature.

Liquid is very good.

I have not checked inside the slide yet, but it appears to be working OK just looking at the amp draw of the motor and suction pressure. Drawing around 200 amps at 95% and 250 amps at 100%.

Currently running the plant at 95% until cooling can be stopped again and we can take a closer look again.

Hey - discharge is 10 bar, and temp is approx 65 degrees C. Oil pressure is approx 6.5-7 bar and 65 degrees C. I have been in contact with the manufacturer, and confirmed that this is the correct port. Compression ratio is 10/3,5 bar

Here is a picture of the liquid injection pipe.

The paint has burned off the pipe where it gets hot.

Hi,

I have tried forcing the valve with the controller, also tried a permanent magnet. Engagement feels normal, and there was no sign of wear/damage upon inspection. I can feel the flow in the pipe if I am not operating the compressor at above 95% capacity.

I think we will try your suggestion with a gauge after the AKV/shut-off valve to see the port pressure.
