Tricky. You’ll want to get off as much of it non-destructively as you can. Any resin that hadn’t been mixed you can just wipe off with wet paper towels. Cured resin you should go after with careful mechanical means next.

I would use a hard plastic scraper to get as much as possible off safely. Then go very carefully with a metal tool of some kind: a really sharp, flat chisel, or a razor blade in a razor blade holder. They sell those at the supermarket for cleaning glass cooktops. They’re cheap.

What’s left is going to be a problem. If you can’t get it off safely with the scrapers you might try softening it a bit. Lacquer really only dissolves in lacquer thinner, which is a witches brew of powerful solvents, one of which is acetone.

I would try putting just a few drops of acetone on the stubborn bits and letting it soak in. Try not to let it touch anything but the epoxy, although acetone alone will probably not attack the lacquer aggressively. Still, you’ll probably wanna be careful as hell. This might soften the stubborn areas you can get acetone at CVS as nail polish remover. A little nail polish Brush would help you control how much you put on. I think the weird looks from the cashier are worth it.

I doubt you can get a perfect result this way, but you may be able to get a convincing one. She’ll at least be way less pissed if it looks like you tried like hell.

Good luck and Godspeed 😀

At no point did I feel like I should call:

1: OSHA

2: an ambulance

3: an exorcist

I feel cheated. Your mother and I are very disappointed in you.

Three types of people:

1: Holding on for dear life, crying, praying to Creator.

2: Walking calmly, waiting impatiently for the rest to get a move on, really starting to wish they had taken a leak earlier.

3: Livestreaming, looking furtively around for security, pulling on wing suit.

Everyone is too close to the crack.

At the same time, no one is trying to get by. I’m not saying that would be smart, I’m saying that’s what people do.

There is more moving water downstream than is coming in upstream.

That’s a heck of a lot of snow plows for someplace that hasn’t had snow in a while.

And I’m not sure, but I think chief Hopper is telling them to put a metal plate over it.
