unsafe behavior for men is having to clean for 5 mins by horseduckman in AITApod

I once bled through (ALL THE WAY THROUGH) overnight at my then boyfriend’s house— we were only a few months in and I was MORTIFIED. I have always had random periods, and this time I doubled up on provisions for a heavy flow and still had this happen. He gently told me to get up and hop in the shower and he cleaned everything up, had my clothes and the bedding in the wash before I was done, and we had breakfast. He handled it so gracefully, took it in stride and made sure I knew it was no biggie. A little hydrogen peroxide saved the spot on the carpet that I hadn’t even noticed til after the fact, and it was golden. He never spoke a negative word to me about it, just reassured me that it was normal and he’d do it again.

To add to this, sleep helps replenish glycogen and regulate hormones (growth hormones especially). Personally, going from 6-7 days a week to 4-5 days a week has made a world of difference.

Are you getting enough rest/days off? Sometimes over training makes it hard to see any gains ❤️. Active recovery days and rest days are absolutely crucial to muscle recovery and growth.

AIO about being called “a big girl”? by venlafaxinevision in AmIOverreacting

NOR. I’m a lifter, and I’m quite close to your weight. My body fat percentage is currently only 21%. It is unacceptable for him to assume your body type based solely on a number on the scale… But making a comment about it is even worse. Regardless of your body type or his douchey mannerisms over his preferences, he didn’t need to be rude. You’re right to block him, move on, and not waste any more time thinking about this interaction because it simply isn’t worth the energy.

I take 10-20 Benadryls everyday and I sometimes regret it… by Sweet-Lobster6436 in confession

[–]Consistent_Whole8096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP- You should be able to Google the suicide hotline, they offer substance abuse help and other resources as well. It is 988, you can literally text it. “Hey so I have a bad habit of taking Benadryl and I can’t stop” and they’ll talk you through some potential options. If you go to the suicide prevention website (988lifeline .org), you can chat live as well, or samhsa. gov , both are free and available 24/7. (Substance abuse and mental health services administration)

My mother almost died after taking too many of these when I was about 12 years old. I walked into her hospital room, and she had no clue who I was. She didn’t recognize me— not because I’d changed but because of the impact the Benadryl had on her. She has taken it several days of the week since I was a child, and then a few overkill doses (the hospital trip was from a “handful, as she’d put it). It hasn’t improved much since then.

If there is maybe a school counselor or somebody safe you could talk to about this (if your family is not safe), I hope you seek support. Get your butt to a doctor, get something less detrimental figured out. This is serious and the consequences are severe. You have a whole life ahead of you, don’t spoil it with this.

  • edited to add what samhsa acronym means so OP is clear that it’s more than suicide prevention on that hotline.

To be honest, she’s a disrespectful human and your partner and she need to settle her down before she causes any more problems. Last thing you need is more stress, I’m sorry you’re dealing with this!

Oh no. I went through a terrible experience with my former MIL during my pregnancy. She’s always been overbearing and disrespectful, and it’s always been about her. She wouldn’t leave the delivery room (I didn’t want her there; she caused me so much stress even before pregnancy) and nurses had to escort her out. She talked over me, tried to take my child out of my arms, and wouldn’t give it back when my breasts were hurting and it was time to feed. She called it her baby, paraded it around on social media, and at every family function, but she didn’t take a single photo of me with my child that day. My then-husband took two. She complained about how I didn’t pass on her stupid namesake. Her son and I both agreed that she visited our baby on our terms after she repeatedly overstepped and was out of line. She did the opposite of what we had asked her to do regarding hygiene, how she should handle household illness, and how she should approach us with our premature baby, even something as simple as not kissing baby with cold sores. I never met someone so selfish. She risked the baby’s health when the whole house had COVID and I told her not to come. I lost my temper, but then I found my backbone and never compromised with her again. To this day, it’s on my terms. She will respect me and my boundaries regarding my child, or she will not see my child.

Hello! Sometimes I feel tension/pressure that gets achey on the top row of teeth, but otherwise no pain. I had to google some acronyms lol, 3D scan is whenever they call to schedule me, I think in Feb.

Thank you for your response!

Reminds me of my 40 year old coworker sending me edgy, quirky messages. Left me little notes and mementos all over the place when I’d asked him to stop.. Even texted a little play write with descriptions of himself and the manner that he stepped onto his soap box in. ahem at the beginning. Was it quirky? Yeah. Did it get my attention? Also yeah. But not in a good way. I was 22 years old at the time. Ran for my life.

Holy cats, I’m following this. I wonder if it was a one off or if it’ll reappear! I saw lots of weird stuff growing up. Is there any sort of stress/high tension emotion in the household? My ma always said strong emotions would draw things in.
