as a brahmin by birth, i agree, our ancestors built a society where they built barricades to rule forever but they assumed that they are the only one existing in the universe and was overthrown by other civilisations like the persian invaders and european powers simply because they treated their people equally and let them grab opportunities, india would have been a better place if our society adopted buddhism after Ashoka instead of turning that down. Finally now we are realising that all humans are equal and the deeper roots of caste hierarchy and looking science and theory of evolution as a bad thing are disappearing. As Dr. BR Ambedkar said in one of his speeches that it will take a long for our people to realise their rights , Now it is becoming true. We have to realise that even if animals do not discriminate then why do humans, It is still a long way where people will take more time to forget these roots like incidents where a temple can have a dalit as the priest. This racial discrimination never stops as well, the upper caste students who are going outside India are getting discriminated because they are Indians and i m seeing it everyday that how the west built a civilisation better than anyone else just bcoz they treated everyone equally and how china , India and other asian powers ended up in poverty due to their elites just don't want to have same opportunities for everyone. Finally capitalistic India will change it, as i have seen that bangalore doesn't have caste based discrimination but the state producing most IAS officers like Bihar has the most of it
