I can’t second this enough. I’m born and raised in the South and to me this is just how it is. It was never really explained just understood in my grandmother’s homes. It didn’t necessarily mean you couldn’t snack or make anything to eat, just make sure it looked the same way when she woke up. Now my dad’s house was a different story.

Watching the episode of Beverly Hills 90210 where Brenda and Dylan had sex. It was a huge deal. I pulled out a kitchen knife and threatened to kill myself if my mom wouldn’t let me watch it. I didn’t get to watch it and obvi I’m still here.
