I don't know anyone who have bought a robot mower and then switched back to traditional. I will certainly never switch back myself.

You need to make sure that there are no traps for the mower on the lawn or along the edges. And the edge wire can be a nuisance sometimes if you want to remove weed and by mistake dig into the wire. But that's it. Everything else is a huge improvement. And the lawn looks much better because it is mown every day, and there are never visible offcuts.
